Alexia, mi reinita, mi amor, mi todo | Alexia Putellas x Reader
A/N: Not me wanting to get this out still on Alexia's birthday like I'm turning an essay in at midnight. Ok honestly I would write a part two of this but that's only if people are interested. Again requests are closed for now.
So it's a little angsty, has a little hurt/comfort (I know this woman gives the best hugs let's be real), and some Alexia fluff.
Based on this prompt list: #4, #20
Warnings: Anxiety/panic attack symptoms
WC: 1860
Alexia had resolved it in herself that she would use whatever leverage she had to have you stay at Barcelona. She was not the type to use that cardā¦she was not that kind of playerā¦the type to threaten to leave to get what she wanted, but the thing she wanted was you. She had tried to speak with some of the staff about it but they were āconveniently busyā. With no success, she texts you āVoy a casa, te veo pronto, amorā (Iām going home, Iāll see you soon, love)Ā before driving over to your shared home.
Barcelona was dragging their feet with regards to your contract of whether you would be renewed or be traded to some other club, some other league, some other country. You had spent 4 years dedicated to Barcelona and had earned your spot in the midfield. The statistics you pulled throughout your career there were phenomenal, the kind that made your girlfriend proud to see because she was there from the beginning. So why was Barcelona playing a cat and mouse game with your livelihood?
āAlexia, mi Reinita, mi amor, mi todo (my little queen, my love, my everything),
You know that I am better with my words written on paper than spoken to you. You still make me nervous when I look at you; I still blush as quickly as I did when we first met. I write this to you because Iām going to America to Bay FCā¦the deal has been done and the announcements will be out in a couple of weeks, but I wanted you to be the first to know.Ā
The amount of times that Alexia had found you at that kitchen table with your head covered by your arms crying out your frustrations at another deal that went nowhere. She would never say a word and just quietly wrapped her arms around you and kissed the back of your head before laying hers on it. Once the crying stopped her hand would gently rub your back until eventually you began to move and pulled her into a hug with your head at her abdomen with a quick whisper of āletās go to sleepā. Her only words would be āof course, cariƱo (dear)ā.
I know how you are mi amor (my love) but fighting the club is not worth it. It is hard to swallow the reality that the club that I grew up watching, grew up to play in, does not carry the same love and dedication I had for themā¦for me. You were one of the first people I met 4 years ago when I transferred from my club team in Mexico. It was a big move and you were there to just welcome me in, you knew immediately that I did not take change very well and was uncomfortable with everything.Ā
Alexia, at some point, blocked some sports news outlets on your social media because of how overwhelming the ā(y/n) Transfer Rumorā posts were getting for you. You did not want to leave Barcelona, you had made a home there with Alexia and the thought of leaving all of what you had terrified you.Ā
You could already hear the comments from the āfansā questioning your loyalty, why you couldnāt just confirm that you would be staying at BarƧa or leaving the team all together, why you were silent on the rumors? Alexia would be there with her head on your shoulder quietly holding you in the kitchen quieting the noises in your head with a simple kiss to the temple.
āMi princesa, go sit down.. Iāll make dinnerā sheād whisper into your hair as she led you to the table and made dinner while you watched with warmth at the woman before you.Ā
I remember you would tease me about my accent when I spoke Spanish and said you would give me lessons if I made you a bag after you saw me crocheting mine on the bus to my first away game. I know that the Spanish lessons were just a way to spend time with me. You could have asked me to be with you at any point and I would have said yes. I remember you teaching me how to dance in our kitchen one night after saying that I was worried about making a fool out of myself at my brotherās wedding. Iām going to miss our 3 am dances we would do when I was pacing the kitchen stressed out of my mind on this transfer.
As you said, āHere I donāt want you to walk back and forth alone, just dance with me insteadā¦I'm hereā. I still remember the feeling of you under my palms; every curve, every line as I would take the lead of the dance and you would look at me calmly guiding my hands like how you did when you first taught meā¦yeah Iāll miss those quiet moments the most.Ā
You had not gone to practice that morning due to stomach issues and you had to basically push Alexia out of the door so that she went to practice.Ā
āIāll get some rest do not worry, mi Reinitaā You say as she answers with a quick kiss.
She grabs her bags and gives another kiss pulling you in,āIāll be home as soon as I'm done ok?ā.
Alexia entered through the doorway of the shared home and saw several moving boxes littered on the floor. Confused, she looks for you as there is not the usual soft music that you play when you are doing chores and finds you wrapped in a blanket sound asleep on the couch.
Her bag is gently put to the ground as she rounds the corner of the couch. She sees the coffee table littered with papers and your phone with an unread message from her.
She quietly looms over the papers, seeing a copy of your original Barcelona contract, the proposal, the rejection to the proposal, another club offer and, finally, the letter to confirm intention to transfer. Your phone lights up with another notification; getting the attention of Alexia who notices the handwritten letter that remained unfinished under your phone.Ā
You were a semi - heavy sleeper so she picked up the letter and began to read as her soft smile appeared, fell and then reappeared.Ā The boxes made sense now, you were organizing your things ahead of time to leave. Seems that you received the news that morning, explaining why the staff were busy when Alexia tried her best to speak with them.
She looked down at your handwriting againā¦sheās so familiar with it as you have always littered her spaces with sticky notes of encouragement, love and everything in between. You always thought she had thrown them away but on your 2nd year anniversary she showed you the box where she had kept every single note that you had written to her.Ā
It didnāt matter to her; she kept all the ones that said āHi Ale, can you get some milk?ā, āReinita, there is dinner in the fridgeā, āIām too lazy, I ordered pizza oh and I guess Patri is coming over?āĀ
This letter no matter how long she will keep especially close to her.
Alexia sat at the other end of the couch and began to read the last bit of the letter.
I know that I will be so far from you and that you will miss the things that I do. You were always a romantic like that mi amor (my love). Thatās why I am going to leave you my favorite book, the one that I always read way too many times and have cried over just as much. The only thing that I ask is that you donāt open it until I am gone and you are missing me. Just saying not to is going to make you want to open the book even more but please listen to me on this one. :)
I donāt know what the fixtures of the NWSL are yet but I know that you will want to -
You stir and stretch out your legs pushing Alexia in the process. The resistance pulled you from your sleep.
Alexia laughs softly as she pats your leg, āSleep well, cariƱo (dear)?āĀ
You only nod as you rub the sleep from your eyes. Without a word, you sit up and look at Alexia who fiddles with the note that you had written.Ā
āI wish I was at least awake when you found out, amor (love)ā you start as you shift over to be closer to her.
āAre you mad at me?ā your head now lying on her shoulder.
Alexia looks, almost, offended at the comment as she turns to you.
āThis is your decision, cariƱo, you know that I will support in whatever you do and wherever you goā¦Iām sad, yes, but seeing you living out your dreams has been a honor for meā¦so no Iām not mad solamente bien orgullosa de ti (only very proud of you)ā.
She pulls you closer, her hand softly rubbing your arm as she hears the small sniffles coming from you.
āPromise me youāll watch at least one gameā you say softly.
Alexia laughs and kisses the top of your head, āAmor, Iāll watch every oneā.
The announcement came and went and so did you. You found yourself preparing for the inaugural season for Bay FC. The fans had taken a liking to you immediately and the management welcomed you with open arms.Ā
Alexia, remained in your shared home that now was quieter without your presence. The spaces that normally were filled with little posts were bare, the days for chores werenāt filled with your questionable music, and Alexia no longer needed to dance in the kitchen at 3 am.
After a particularly hard practice, Alexia returned home missing you more than usual. As she plopped down on the couch her eyes fell on your book that you left behind for her.
She remembered that you had asked her to not open it until you were gone to your new club.
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg, it was the book that you read every year during the summer without fail. No matter how many times you read it, Alexia would see you tear up and close the book to compose yourself before continuing.Ā
She got the book and opened to the first page and seeing a small, sticky note,
āI miss you, mi reinitaā.
Alexia flipped the page and found another one,
āYou can text my mom for her soup recipe, sheād only give it to youā
A laugh escapes her as she continues through the book finding more and more of your notes that you had written out. She skips to the end and finds an older looking note.
āI love you, Alexia Putellasā¦ā with the date of your 1st anniversary with Alexia.
And below with newer ink and dated the day that you had left.
āAnd I⦠I still love you, even after all of this timeā.

7,6, and 20 if youāre okay with combining 3 and I was thinking maybe Ali Krieger or Lucy Bronze maybe but if neither of them maybe Katrina Gorry and if not her I give you free reign I think anyone can go with this combo tbh. But only if you have time and please take your time.
Lucia Roberta Tough Bronze, was my first love and my hardest heartbreak. Truth be told, I hated her so much when we first encountered each other on the international stage. She had admitted that I was as much of a pain in her ass as she was to me.Ā
I mean defending against a 17 year old Jessie Fleming was already a nightmare so when it was both of us, Lucy made it her personal mission to shut me out. Some tackles led to confrontation, some that had me so close to her face that I could see the dark specks of color in her eyes.Ā
Her stupid smile when she knew that I was frustrated in a game. I fucking hated it but I realized I loved seeing it all the same. Jessie followed me to Chelsea and she saw everything between me and Lucy from the beginning to the end, and the very bitter epilogue that I still, desperately, wanted to end.Ā
Lucy and Iās little rivalry continued in the WSL. It became a game at some point of who could make the other the most annoyed by the end of the match. Every other match, Lucy would push herself onto me in confrontations to looking down at me after a tackleā¦this only happened once, in anger, outside of the pitch. ā
We were both a couple of shots of tequila in us, Lucy was arguing with me and I felt the wall hit my back. The sounds of the club, both are teammates dragged us to, seemed muffled. My voice, normally as loud as hers, was small and tiny. I was just staring, dumbly, at one little black speck in the blues of her eye.Ā
āYouāre such a fucking brat ya know that?!ā Lucy screamed at me.
I finally shifted my gaze to her mouth as it curled at my silence.
āWhat all talk before and now youāre fucking quiet, wish youād stay this wayā.
My brain finally reconnected to my mouth as I finally push back into her like we would in games.Ā Jessie, across the way, saw the confrontation wonderingĀ
āMaybe I should intervene?...āĀ
My voice slurred, āFuck you, Lucy⦠our first game against each other you brought me down. I fucking hated you for it and I still do. I still remember your smile, the soft quirk to it when you stood over me..ā I poked the side of her mouth with my finger.
āHow could I not? Itās ingrained in the back of my mind, Lucy, and I wish it wasnātā I look at her my hand falling away from her face.
I did not realize that my face was now centimeters from hers. The same smile appeared,
āMaybe I donāt want you to forget it hm?ā Her head tilts as she moves my chin slowly as so that I remain looking at her.Ā
I groaned, āUgh youāre insufferableā I pushed her shoulder only to be met with her lips, hungrily devouring mine.Ā
Poor Jessie said she made the quickest u-turn of her life when she saw what happened.Ā
Lucy pulled back and stopped me with a small laugh when she saw that I tried to close the distance again. The taste of lime, salt and the burn of the tequila only added to the intoxicating taste of Lucia Roberta Tough Bronze.Ā
āI want you to never forget meā she sealed that statement by bringing me in again her grip rough on my chinā¦and she was, unfortunately, right about that.Ā
__________________________________________
We began seeing each other more after we had a long conversation in her Manchester apartment. Well, the long conversation then involved both of us being naked in Lucyās bedā¦and well that was never something that we expectedā¦but we both did not stop.
Out times together stopped just being nights tangled in each other after tough matches to days lounging about. Then to waking up to her holding me close like I was the most important thing in our new apartment.Ā
I loved Lucy so muchā¦she was there for my back injury that took me out of the season for a time. She learned all the little things that made me tick, everything that brought me joy, everything that brought me sadnessā¦and unfortunately, she became one more than the other.
The little moments of love that were peppered throughout our relationship like the stars in the sky slowly faded away as she moved to Barcelona. If Iām going to be honestā¦it probably started even before that. We had done distance like this before, like when I was at Wolfsburg on loan for a season, Lucy always made sure to callā¦to talk about my game that she saw, and I would return the favor and offer my insight on her games and how much I missed her.
Even though the cloudy weather of London never bothered meā¦Lucy being gone really was felt in the weather now. Barcelona definitely had the light of my life and I didnāt realize it would stay there.Ā
Her distancing took some time to manifest but started when I had to reach out to her. I understood, I mean it took me a bit to adjust to the new culture of Germany, but it took her longer to respond to me and it was a simple āokā, āgoodnightā āgood morningā,ālove youā. The response just served as a āI read the messageā. She never really did read my messages because the responses often didnāt make any sense to what I had sent. I never corrected her and just went along with it thinking it was just a typoā¦a pretty bad typo.
I remember I alluded to the idea that I should come visit her in Barcelonaā¦and she said āNah, things are picking up and with the international break coming up it wouldnāt be good for either of usā. It was true that I had the Gold Cup and she had the Euros qualification games but a few days wouldnāt hurtā¦she traveled to Germany for me once before and then returned immediately to play one of the best games of her life.
The feeling of rejection hurtā¦it hurt more when I saw the post of Lucy exploring Barcelona with Onaā¦doing things that I had planned to do with her. Seeing her with the flowers in the elevatorā¦oh the flowersā¦it broke me. I put it in the back of my brain, Lucy would tell me right? Sheād tell me if this wasnāt working anymore, right?
Our relationship was a secret, the fans had alluded to it before and Lucy and I would giggle at the theories and the compilations of proof, but we never announced or made it public per Lucyās preference. Suddenly, she was comfortable sharing the little, soft appearances of Onaā¦something I prayed that Lucy would do for our relationshipā¦
I donāt hate Onaā¦I would never hate herā¦
I was jealous and angryā¦Ona was getting what I once had and more but I was afraid sheād have my same experience. Living without a doubt that your partner loved you, cared for you, would hold you like you were the most important thing in the worldā¦until it just stopsā¦until they find someone better. It made me wonder if I made someone else question if I was the āsomeone betterā.Ā
āLucy, can you fucking tell me the truth for once?!?ā I yell exasperated through the Facetime.
There was another bout of silenceā¦like it always went.Ā
āItās nothing, it isnāt like we were dating seriously anywaysā she said as if it was something obvious.
I shoot up from my seat, āWhat the fuck does that mean, Lucy?!?āĀ
The roll of her eyes did not go unnoticed by me.
āMeans we were just having fun, thought that is what we were, donāt know where you got that we were serious. I mean you probably are seeing someone else down there in London, you see me yelling at you and acting like I got a stick up my ass?ā. Her words came without care awaiting my response.
Suddenly we were back to being rivals on the field. Calling each other bluff about a foul that occurred. Whether it was a yellow, deserving of a red, or a card at all. Everything was the same even the smirk on Lucyās face at my frustration.
āYou know what Lucyā¦fuck youā¦Iāve done nothing but wait for youā¦Iāve done nothing but continue to support you even though you stopped doing that for me and I⦠I still love you, even after all of this time and I fucking hate thatā. I bite back the tears. I hated being a frustrated crier.
āYou told me weād be honest with each other and thatās not what this isā¦you canāt decide now when youāre fucking Ona that we were just a casual thing!āĀ
My chest tightened even further,if it was even possible, when I saw the indifference in Lucyās face.
I could not tell you what I said afterwards, those words were not my own but I guess whatever I said caused Lucy to unfollow me on all social media and I bet my number is blocked too. Ona, funnily enough, kept following meā¦either she didnāt care or she didnāt know about what I had with Lucy. Iāve decided to not dwell on that.
Chelsea legend, announces retirement from International/Club Football
I like to think it was a well-thought out decision, leaving the sport that I loved. The numerous phone calls and emails from friends, family and journalists seemed to indicate otherwise. I still had another World cup that I could attend, another Olympics, another Gold cupā¦another anything really but I just couldnāt.Ā
This sport gave me everything, it gave me friends, found family, loves and lossesā¦but its one loss that made getting on the pitch difficult. We were rivals, we hated each other, we fell in love with each otherā¦well, I fell in love with Lucy, and now Iām alone with those thoughts of Lucy. I fell in love with the idea of Lucy, the idea of a good relationship and just me looking at her with rose-colored glasses.Ā
āSo, did I miss the meeting where they were going to tell me that my vice-captain for Canada was retiring for good because I just found out through a Tiktok that was posted on Insta reelsā Jessie said sternly over the phone.
Jess, being the first one of my teammates to contact me after the announcement.
āOof, thatās definitely not the way that I wanted you to find out, all things considered,ā I say trying to lighten the mood a bit even though the root of my retirement is more tragic than what I let on.
A groan erupts from my phone as Jess continues, āUghā¦ok, so why pray tell, am I without a vice-captain?āĀ Ā
How do you tell your best friend that you canāt find yourself to love the sport that youāve done your whole life because of a girlā¦
āI just feel like I donāt love it as much as I used to and I donāt want to fake the feeling for the sake of itā¦so I thought it was timeā. I say pretty convincingly.
Jessie sighs, āI mean I canāt really say anything, because it is up to youā¦just wished you couldāve given me at least a heads upā¦still love you to bits thoughā.
I laugh as I pick up the phone to check a text that came in, āIām sorry Jessie, it was a spur of the moment decision and I felt like I would regret it if I didnāt do it now you know?ā
I never deleted Lucyās numberā¦didnāt have the heart toā¦maybe it was the small piece of hope that held on that she would message me and everything would go back to what it was.
āWas it because it me?ā It felt more like a statement than a questionā¦no hellos or good afternoons accompanying it.
I said my goodbyes to Jessie as I looked at the textā¦did she actually care?
I lied. We were past pleasantries at this point
āNot really. I mean I still canāt get you out of my mind even though Iām probably long gone from yours but no you werenāt the reasonā
A few minutes and another text comes through,
āThen what?ā
It felt like years were passing as I typed out the text,Ā
āWell, I did what you did, couldnāt fake ālovingā this sport so I dropped it without noticeā.
Lucy never respondedā¦and I would be lying if I said I didnāt care if she did.
So God really is apologizing to me for my last situationship because why do I have a girl so down bad for me now (I am also down bad for her). She is literally Abby from TLOU2, a fucking dork super sweet, and has a crop top that says āmuscle mommyāā¦.ive won yall. I die when she sends me gym pics but Iāve won
A/N: Hello everyone! Thank you to those who checked up on me. I'm doing alright now. Still studying for the LSAT which I am set to take on the 8th of June, so send good vibes. Chime~
The little bells rang throughout the quiet, little, London cafe as it cut through the sounds of a football match playing on a laptop by the counter.Ā
Alessia saw someone behind the counter hunched over what looked to be like a large book and notebook filled with all sorts of highlights and post its.Ā
āMorning~, can I get something started for you?ā A soft voice sounded from behind the fresh pastries as Alessia noticed that you gave a quick look to her and returned to whatever you were doing.Ā
Alessia approached the counter and peered at you still sitting down with your hair held up and with a floral headband keeping away the stray hairs that still graced your cheeks.Ā
You close the textbook, using the notebook like a bookmark to not lose your place, smoothing out the apron fully standing in front of Alessia.
She couldnāt help but follow the movement as you went past her eyeline. You were probably over 6ā0 and you caught her moment of awe and laughed a little.
āIām 6ā3 if that is what you were wonderingā you said as you further adjusted the apron around your waist.
Alessia blushed at being caught,Ā
āSorry, uh- Iām new around here and this was the first cafe I saw that was close to my place and open this early so I donāt have an idea of what I want really?ā her normally confident tone faltered as she fully took in your features.
A smile crept on your face as you put your hands in the front pockets of the apron and begin to rock back and forth on your heels. You look at the kit bag on Alessiaās shoulder.
āSeems like youāre going to trainingā¦Arsenal right? Well, the rest of the girls usually pop on through in the afternoon after practice but Iād always recommend the Apple Crumble pastry and a small, sweet latte with oat milk for morning trainingsā
Alessia only nodded at the question, āYeah, that sounds perfect actuallyā¦you a fan?āĀ
I nod as I bend down with a pair of tongs to place the pastry into a small bag.Ā
āMy mum is a huge gooner, and my pops is a big Man United fan.ā You laugh a little before continuing and beginning the process of making the latte.
āI guess I am both as wellā¦grew up in it really, so yeah you can say Iām a fan ā You place the top on the disposable cup and slide the coffee and pastry towards Alessia stopping her before she gets her wallet out.
āFirst one is on me, little starā you say and are met with a stunned silence from the younger girl.Ā
She remained looking at you a sense of familiarity hits her as your soft but firm eyes returned the stare but she couldnāt place it for the life of her. It looked like you were waiting for a specific response from her.
āThanksā¦uh Iāll see you aroundā she says as she quickly grabs the things on the counter and heads for the door.
You say quickly to her as Alessia grabs onto the handle of the door, āOh tell the girls I said my hellosā
Alessia nods and runs out of the cafe and nearly trips over the sidewalk as she continues on to the training center.Ā
You watch her and she wanders off, Alessia completely flustered by the encounter, shaking your head you mutter as a laugh leaves your mouthĀ
āStill as clumsy as I rememberā.

Bearsted FC, Kent
Being the oldest kid at Bearsted FC meant a lot of the younger kids looked up to you both figuratively and physically. Being freshly ten and measuring at 5ā4 was nothing to ignore. You were one of the few kids that did not need any convincing to be in goal.Ā
You enjoyed it. The amount of afternoons practicing blocking shots with your parents gave you a sense of pride with each ball that flew away from goal or trapped within your gloves.
You had promise of becoming one of Englandās best goalkeepers or so said the many adults at your games on the weekends.
Even little Alessia Russo, who would come bounding towards you at the end of each and every game. You both had been playing for both the boys and the girls on the weekend. Again, no one else would step as keeper so no one could really say no to you.
āThat was amazing,(y/n)!!!ā Alessia jumped towards you with her arms then extended to mimic a save you had done that game.
You shook your head and smoothed out your uniform as you looked down at you teammate.Ā
āMe? Nah, you were amazing, I mean you have been really practicing your shooting. Got a brace today!ā you say patting her shoulder.
āWhatād ya mean? It wouldāve been perfect if I didnāt slip on the grassā Alessia initially beaming up at you and then frowning as she showed off the grass stains on her shorts.Ā
You shake yourĀ head, āI mean it Lessie, I mean you got the grown ups saying that youāre Englandās next big striker and I agree with themā You continue to pick up your stuff from the side of the goal.Ā
Alessia only remained silent before firmly saying, āWell only if youāre there, I donāt trust anyone else, you are such a good goal keeper!ā
You roll your eyes at the younger girl yes, āyouāll get there with or without me Lessie, trust meā You look over and see yourĀ parents waving you over.
āWell I'm going to head home, see ya tomorrow eh little star?ā Who only nods acknowledging the pats to her shoulder as you run over to your parents.
You were enjoying the last few weekends that you had in England. Your parents had already mentioned to you that your father had found a much better job in Florida that required a move to the States.
You were already 10 years old so your time at the league was ending anyways, the only worry you had was finding a new team to play for. Your parents reassured you that there were clubs in Miami that would take you and itād be a nice change in scenery.
Your last weekend came up and it was going to be a surprise to everyone but unbeknownstĀ to you, Alessia had fallen ill. Her parentās not telling her that it was your last time playing there, the last time that you would play in England to save her from feeling worse apart from her illness.
You played well and ended your little ācareerā with another clean sheet but this time without Alessia Russo coming over to your goal to sing you your praises. She was your best friend and it left you dejected as you grabbed your things from the grass and headed over to your parents.Ā
āDarling, donāt look down, your father gave the Russos our number so she will call you when she feels better and we are in the statesā Your mother sensing the disappointment that clearly permeated from your demeanor.Ā
That did make you feel a wee bit better that at least Alessia had some way to get in touch with you. What you didnāt know is that, unfortunately for you, Alessiaās father forgot the piece of paper in his jeans and the number was lost in the wash. He didnāt have the heart to tell Alessia of what happened.
Waiting by the home phone proved to be a rather frequent activity until your mother said āItās ok we are going to visit sooner or laterā.Ā Ā
However, soon became a couple years and not to your surprise Alessia and her family had moved.
She moved somewhere different, so you had to move on from your best friend you so deeply missed.
________________________________
Upon Alessiaās arrival to the training grounds, the other girls immediately clocked the familiar coffee cup design.
āOh looks like youāve already met our favorite barista, Russoā Katie wraps an arm around Alessiaās shoulders.
The blondeās cheeks grew red at the mention of you. āUh yeah, she mentioned yāall⦠said helloā
Katieās eyes twinkled, āOh how I love that girlā¦you got a good look at her didnāt you?āĀ
Before Alessia could continue to show that she was a nervous mess; Leah intervened.
Ā āLeave the poor girl alone, Katie. We all know of your little crush on (Y/N), get in line like the rest of usā.Ā
The rest of the locker room erupted in laughter and in mutual agreement.Ā
Alessia returned to her area and placing her things in her cubby still reeling from the whole interaction.Ā
After a particularly exhausting practice, she turned down going with the other girls to the cafe you worked at. She lied saying that she still had some unpacking to finish and why should she go back if sheād already been there in the morning?Ā
āDonāt need to buy anything, Lessi, just seeing (y/n) is worth the walk downā Katie laughed giving her a quick bump to the shoulder.
An awkward laugh from Alessia escaped her as she shooed away her teammates but not before promising that she would join them the next timeā¦.which was a lie because she would avoid the cafe as much as she could to avoid the nervousness that she felt. The way that your gaze affected herā¦how even in the early morning your eyes were bright, soft, and firm.

After two weeks of, reluctantly, going to any cafe other than the one that you worked at Alessia finally found herself being dragged by Toone towards your cafe.
āTooney, there are other places with pastries, do we really have to go to this one?ā Alessia pleaded to her friend who looked at her confused and pulled Alessia even further.
āNah, Phallon is there and she said that her old university friend working there will hook us up with some free pastries, you were excited about the free pastries part, whatās got you not wanting to go now huh?āĀ
Alessia couldnāt think of a good reason, her demeanor did change from excitement to nerves at the realization they were headed towards your cafeā¦
āI donāt think their pastries are all thatā she lied to which earned an eye roll from Ella.
āDonāt careā¦a free pastry is a free pastry.ā Ella said, opening the door of the cafe to see an occupied Phallon leaning on the counter as she scrolled her phone looking for something.
She lifted her head, āOh hey Tooney, hey Alessia, guess you got her with the free pastries huh?ā she said with a smile.
Alessia let out a quiet sigh of relief as she saw someone that wasnāt you walk into the back carrying a box.
āWhereās your friend, Phallon?ā Ella went to the counter towards her teammate.
Phallon continued scrolling through her phone and stopped seemingly finding what she was looking for.Ā
āOh she had to go get some boxes really quick but sheāll be back. I was going to show her the highlight I had seen of her from two weekends ago, just found it. Sheāll kill me butā¦ā She laughs turning the phone screen towards Ella and Alessia as the video began to play.
Toone did not see Alessiaās eyes widen at the realization that you were the one playing; that you were the one in goal.Ā
Alessia recognized the team as one of the local club teams nearby, a part of the lower leagues. One of the main points of the video that played again slowly was a save that was thoroughly impressive. There was something in the way that you made the save that triggered a memory in Alessia.Ā
Before Alessia could say anything in response to the video, your voice interrupted her thoughts.
āBeen a while, Russoā¦TJ can you not show my highlights, itās embarrassingā You say, with a laugh, passing closely to Alessia and hip checking Phallon as you place the two boxes of napkins on the counter.Ā
Phallon only lets out a laugh, āhey it was a good save (y/n), if you werenāt on this med school route, youād easily be recruited by a WSL club teamā¦ā
Ella immediately agrees and pushes more, āPhallon is right, if you were on another team, youād be an absolute nightmare for us right, Lessie?ā. You look back at Alessia, who at the mention of her name finally blinked.
āUh yeah, that was a good save. I donāt think I would get anything past youā she says quietly under your firm gaze as she hears your name for the first time.Ā
You only nod turning away from the group to put away the boxes, āYeah maybe, well that was the dream but things sometimes donāt go that way you know but hey you can have multiple dreamsā¦aka the med school route Phallon so happened to mentionā
Alessiaās eyes followed you as you continued on answering Ellaās array of questions as you put away the supplies needed behind the counter.
Drying your hands you go to pack some pastries for the group,Ā
āYeah I was a walk on for our university team and I ended up playing for them for a while, even started more than half the gamesā¦decided to just come back home after I didnāt get drafted into the NWSLā.Ā
The last part came out with some hesitation, you turn back with three small baggies filled with pastries.
Phallon takes them in her hands and says āSee you at the game, yeah?āĀ
You nod, āCourse, just remember to send me the tickets this time TJ, now head on off, I know that you all have practice laterā.
As the group was about to leave, Alessia stops when you firmly say, āActually, before I forgetā¦Alessia, you forgot something the last time you were hereā
Alessia looked to Ella who, didnāt help at all, said āOh, we have to head out, Iāll text ya later Lessā, leaving Alessia to her own devicesĀ
As Alessia, hesitantly, reached the counter, you pulled up your chair and sat with your elbows on the counter and your head resting at your palms.
āSoooooā¦you going to tell me why youāve been avoiding me or do you want me to guess?ā You say already with an answer in mind.
The younger girl messed with her hands and refused to meet your eyes ā ām not avoiding youā¦thereās just other cafesā¦āĀ
You clicked your tongue, āsureā¦anything else because I donāt believe you, little starā the nickname caused for Alessiaās cheeks to turn redā¦
āUhhhā¦well I donāt think Katie would like me hanging around her crush, āppose you like her tooā¦I mean why wouldnāt youā¦I mean not saying I donāt want to see you but not that I have a crush on you or anythingā¦but youāre pretty but I donāt thinkā¦āher thoughts were interrupted by your stifled laughter.
You rubbed your eyes to wipe the tears the came from holding it in.
āHold onā¦firstly, I like Katie but not in that way. Second, is that really why youāve been avoiding me, Lessie?ā¦I thought it was something else, this however, Iām not complaining aboutāĀ
You said gesturing over to Alessiaās flustered demeanor.
The look of confusion on her face only added to your laughter, āLessie, I know youāre not dumbā¦come on, who else in your life has ever called you, Little Starā¦I mean your folks started calling you star girl because of it and now the media does but who was the first to call you their little star?āĀ
You smiled towards her as you took in her slow realization, her eyes widening as she began finally taking in your features. The way that your eyes looked at her was enough proof to her, you were her.
Alessia quickly pulls you into a hug from across the counter, āyou asshole, you couldāve just told me. God, itās been so longā. Her grip on you is so tight that you would think that you were about to fly away if she let go. You feel her bury her face in your hair as you lean into her more.
Another laugh leaves your mouth, āwell I thought you would have figured it out but now I know why you avoided meā. She pulls away immediately and sees the smirk that now adorned your face.
ā Someoneās got a little crush on meā you tease as you get up from your chair only to be followed, in tandem, on the other side of the cafe counter by the striker.
āI never said that!ā her voice not, convincingly, confident like the day she first saw you again after many years.
You ignore her and only respond with a hum as you adjust your apron and round the corner of the counter and walk briskly towards the younger girl.
āIs that so? Shame because I also had a crush on you but I guess we will never know, of what may have happened if you also had a crush on meā You continue your teasing as you begin to shoo her out of the cafe with a gentle push.
The striker pushes back against you and grabs your right hand as you grab the handle to ākick her outā.
āHey wait, waitā¦I was just jokingā¦come on, Soleā You donāt take your hand off the handle but you froze at your old nickname, Sole.Ā
You hadnāt heard that name in decades at that pointā¦her parents called you āher soleā...āher sunā because she was always pulled to you. The moment she got out of the car at practice she would run to you at goal, the moment the game would end sheād run to you, and eventually Alessia would copy her parents and call you āSoleā in response to your calling of ālittle starā to her.
You felt Alessia push back against you and you budged a bit. As you opened the door, you used the momentum in one of her efforts and turned her towards you as you lowered your face to hers.
āIām joking, little star. Get to practice. Iāll see you this weekend, Iāll find you after the game, Phallon will get meā¦Iāve missed you by the wayā. You say calmly, patted her shoulder and then, gently, pushed her out of the cafe and closed the door behind her.Ā
Match day against Manchester United came quickly to the Emirates and Alessia was nervous for multiple reasons. She was facing her old club for the first time and playing before her old friend that she definitely had a crush on.Ā
You never gave her your number and she didnāt want to ask Ella to then have to ask Phallon because then Ella would start wondering why and she couldnāt hide her feelings for you from her best friend. If Tooney found out, oh she would never hear the end of it.Ā
The team all rallied and began warm ups, the noises of the stadium gradually grew as people filed in.Ā
Alessiaās eyes would scan the suites where playerās families and friends from either team would be situatedā¦she didnāt see you.Ā
Sheād discreetly do it again during the as the team got into their positionsā¦nothing. Unbeknownst to her, you had an eye on her the whole time; laughing at the way she ādiscreetlyā scanned the family suites looking for you.
You never enjoyed the suites and always preferred watching from a fanās point of view. You werenāt known so it wasnāt a worry that youād be found out by fans. You settled into your seat your legs already used to the lack of space. You were surrounded by other fans with your motherās old Arsenal jacket she got when she was your age with a little bit of a red jersey peeking underneath.Ā
It was an Alessia Russo jersey from when she played for Manchester United. You got it the moment that you heard that she signed on. Your father being elated that your childhood friend was playing for his team,Ā
āas she should!ā you remember how proud he sounded when you shared the news
Lessie was loved by your family so you purchasing her jersey wasnāt seen as weird or off. You were as enamored with Alessia as she was of you in that moment. As a kid, you had always dreamed that one day you and Alessia would exchange jerseys after a game against each other, the thought caused for a short-lived frown to grace your face.Ā
You took a photo of Phallon in goal from where you were seated and posted it to your story tagging her and adorning the photo with University of Miami stickers and a caption that said āThatās my best friend!ā
You loved your university friend dearly but you hoped that your little star would get one past her. As the game began, you watched Alessia, silently, like you did all those years ago from your goal posts. Placing you feet on the seat in front of you and putting your elbows to your knees and watched in awe.Ā
Your little star was not so little anymore but she played with the same energy and joy as she did when you were both younger. You couldnāt help but jump up in excitement when she scored. Except this time you couldnāt hit the posts with your gloves from the other side of the field like you traditionally did.Ā
During halftime, you got a text from Phallon telling you to head down to tunnel before the end of the game. She had already let it be known to security that you would be coming by and to just flash the badge she had given you.
The game had ended with a 2-0 scoreline in favor of Arsenal, earning Alessia a brace against her former club. Phallon came in and upon seeing you, enveloped you in a tight hug. The hug itself started to push off the University of Miami baseball hat you had on from your head.
āHey you did great out there, was like old timesā you said with a laugh as you patted Phallonās back.
Phallon was a tad upset but nodded at your words, āCouldāve been better but hey this aināt the NWSL, so Iām happy to have played anywaysā. You had stayed in the United States for a year after failing to get drafted and would often fly out to Seattle to watch Phallon at her home games. You wanted to support her for as long as you could; that still wouldnāt be enough to pay her back for all that she had done for you.Ā
You hadnāt noticed that Alessia had walked into the tunnel with Toone and seen the slight look of jealousy she shot Phallon.
āThatās her best friend is allā¦goal keeper union and all that. Mary probably knows her tooā¦ā as if on queue Mary came by and enveloped you in a hug from behind which earned a laugh from you. Maryās powerful stature now seemed small in comparison when you towered over her.Ā
Alessia did not realize that Ella had pulled her towards you and the other girls until she heard you say,
āOh hey you two, you both had an incredible game, especially youā¦Russo!ā The smile that you had now directed at her, filled with knowing that you had such an affect of her as you noticed that Alessiaās cheeks became the same color as her jersey.
The other girls agreed amongst themselves. āHow about a little get together later tonight? Just a couple drinks nothing too crazy, (Y/N), you are always invitedā Mary ended the proposal with a pat on your shoulder.
You nod, āOh Alessia, heard youād need a ride home, I can take you, since I have to stop at the cafe really quick before I go home anywaysā. The offer bringing Alessia out of the trance that she was in.Ā
āSureā¦if it isnāt any issueā she said softly that earned a quick assurance from you.
āNah donāt worry about itā¦Iām parked where the players are, so Iāll just text you where Iām atā you say handing her your phone so that she can put in her number.
Once Alessia handed your phoneĀ back, you said your goodbyes and whispered a quick, āIāll see you soon, little starā to her before heading down the hall. Alessia nodded and turned to see a smirking Toone.
āYou can thank me by the wayā¦I could've given you a ride but I am always looking out for my bestie so I made myself ~ unavailable ~ and I expect you to put on your cutest outfit, Less!ā she sang the last part as she put her arm around Alessiaās shoulder.Ā
āI-I donāt-what?ā, the blonde quietly whispers to Toone.
Ella rolls her eyes, āLess, I know when you have a crush, youāre the worst at hiding it. Plus sheās a catch and Iām sure she likes you too, so just here to give ya a little push like the good friend I amā her eyelashes flutter towards the blonde.Ā
The forward did not even try to fight her friend and instead went to the locker room with the rest of her team. After going through the various congrats and photos for Player of the Match, she finally unlocked her phone to a message from an unknown number, you.
āHey little star, I'm parked in section A spot 29. Iāll be sat in my car so no rush do what ya gotta do šā
Alessia smiled down at the message, the nickname flustering her even in just text form.Ā
āIāll see you soon, just finishing up here šā her message was met with a small, heart like.
You were scrolling on your Instagram, as a random Spotify playlist played from your phone. Your head leaned on the window of your car as you continued completely unaware of your own surroundings. A gentle tap on the passenger window across from you made a big smile appear as you unlocked the car to a still-nervous Alessia.Ā
āYou could put your stuff in the back donāt worry, it's unlockedā. Once Alessia put her things away in the back seat she found herself in the passenger seat, struggling to put on her own seat belt.Ā
āIām not going even to ask if you need help,āĀ you said with a small laugh as you leaned over, grabbed the seat belt, and quickly put it into the buckle.
As you lean back into your chair, you stopped closely to Alessiaās face,Ā
āThat buckle gets everyone, donāt be embarrassedā¦you donāt need to be nervous around me either but seems like I do that to everyoneā you smile slyly as no response comes from her and start the car and you begin to pull out of the lot.
Alessia breaks her own silence,Ā
ā(y/n)...my dad lost your number in the washā¦thatās why I never called you. I hope you donāt think that I left you, I really did miss youā You waved your hand towards her.Ā
āI know that you never meant for that to happenā¦I didnāt expect to leave so youngāĀ
She only nodded and continued,
āSoooo, what did you end up doing and whatās this about med school?āĀ
A sigh escapes you, āuh we moved to Miami because dad got a really good job there. Things were great, I was playing club in a nice area and yeahā¦that lasted two yearsā¦then dad loses that job within 2 years because of the recessionā¦we had savings but we had to cut out a lot of thingsā¦football was one of themā.
You coughed as you recalled the rest, āThe daughter of the coach was so happy I was gone which meant that she could be the starting goal keeperā¦other girls were funded by other parents who had better meansā¦uh not meā.Ā
You did not even want to look at Alessia knowing she had a frown on her face. You pinch your nose as you continue.
āWhen I went to high school, I tried out for the team and I was good according to the coachā¦but then they asked me if I played clubā¦told them I did but then stopped because I couldnāt afford it. I was cut from the team the next dayā¦money talks there, so I uhhhh didnāt play until I went to U of MāĀ
āPhallon was actually my roommateā¦we joked that they intentionally putĀ the two tallest girls together in the smallest dorm at the university. It was a total coincidence that they put me with her. First day I knew she was a soccer player, she didnāt find out I was a goalkeeper until she came to me worried because her alternate did her ACL and that they needed to try out new people in the next two weeks. I denied at first said I couldnāt afford it and explained why. Phallon talked to her family and next thing I knewā¦everything was paid for I just needed to try outā¦rest is history. You already know that I didnāt get drafted and well I came back. Been staying at my auntās place, rent free. Sheās retired so sheās always away on travelā.Ā
Alessia nodded, still noticing how you rushed to the end.Ā
āHow are your parents-?ā she stops the moment she sees your hands tense at the wheel.
You shift in your seat, āSorry, my parentās are fine now, they are still in Florida actuallyā¦they are kind of stuck thereā¦Mum got sick recently and dad followed suitā¦took them forever to convince me to move back, but they are ok itās just we are in a weird spot. Everything is ok but not at the same time, donāt know if that makes senseā. You glance at her with a soft smile.
Alessia puts a hand to your shoulder, āhey sorry if thatās a sore spot and no it makes sense, itās been a while since Iāve seen them obviouslyā She lets out a laugh.Ā
āDad was so happy when you signed to United you know? And now, mum has been over the moon since you joined Arsenalā the tone in your voice now lighter.Ā
As you and Alessia talked it felt as if you had returned to the rhythm that you both had when you were kids. She would scrunch her nose when you teased her and youād roll your eyes when she made a bad joke. You parked near the cafe after Alessia convinced you to leave her at the cafe and sheād walk the rest home.
You began walking towards the cafe to go pick up some textbooks you had left earlier that morning, beginning to take off your jacket out of habit as you got to the door. Alessia, who had stopped to see you off only saw the deep red of the Manchester jersey you wore, the white letters spelling out āRussoāĀ disappearing into the cafe.
________________________________
Alessia had practically inhaled the first drink that was handed to her by Toone due to the nerves that she had. Toone looked proud when Alessia arrived with her hair down, gold hoops and necklace with a black crop top and light washed jeans.Ā
āYou look absolutely stunning, if she doesnāt want to take you home immediately seeing you then something is wrong with herā Toone said that earned a slap on the shoulder from Alessia,
āShut it, donāt need to be so loud about itā. They both decide to get another drink while they waited for you to enter the bar. There respective teammates floating around the bar, laughs and conversations were heard from every corner.Ā
ā(y/n)!!!! Leah told me you were coming!āĀ Katieās thick accent now even thicker due to drinks she had already had.
Alessia had already started to feel the buzz of the 2 drinks she had went through minutes ago so the exclamation from Katie felt louder than usual. She turned and saw you talking to Katie who already began to wrap her arm around your waist pulling you closer to her. You entertained her and just held her briefly and it now looked like Katie was a koala on tree.Ā
Leah finally released you from Katieās grasp only earning a laugh from you as you patted Katieās shoulders to save her from the embarrassment what occurred. Alessia felt the tug at her heart when she saw your smile and heard your laugh. Even with all of the noise and movement, it seemed like you were moving slowly and clearly only for her to see.Ā
Alessia only snapped out of it when she felt a jab into her ribs,Ā
āYouāre drooling, Lessie, Iād wipe your mouth because sheās headed this way, Iām going for another drink see yaā. The forward did not even have time to register what was said by Toone and even worse when you appeared in front of her.
āYou ok? Youāll catch fliesā You say semi-teasingly, semi-serious, lightly, tapping the underside of her chin as Alessia hadnāt closed her mouth since you had entered the bar. She finally was able to take you in and her silence to what you said only caused you to laugh.
Alessia saw you adjust the rolled up sleeves of your jacket and her eyes drifted to the exposed section of your stomach, then up at the subtle gold chain that you had on, you caught her gaze finally reached your face.
āSo, Iām just going to get my one drink of the night, want to join me?ā¦seems you need a refillā You take the empty glass from her hand as you started for the bar with Alessia following right behind you.
āSorry, for being all quiet, Iām just tired you knowā the blush on the strikerās cheeks told another story.Ā
You nod as you order yourself two drinks and slide one over to Alessia.
āSure, little star, and Iām the president of the United Statesā you tease as you felt a tiny push of the shoulder from her.Ā
The conversation was like any other and the alcohol finally hit Alessia not at once, if you asked her, but when she was pulling you towards the dance floor with all the other Arsenal girls who were equally slightly, stumbling.Ā
She looked up at you as she brought you closer by your waist and laid her head on a part of your shoulder almost using you to stabilize herself. Alessia took in how warm you were and the woody, almost pine scent from your clothes; she couldnāt help but close her eyes and quietly sigh contently.
She barely registered your hand gently rubbing her back as you both were āslow dancingā in the middle of the bar. Which just meant you were both swaying slowly side to side, well you were more stabilizing Alessia as you moved side to side.
Her eyes opened as she felt the rumble in your chest as you spoke, āNah sheās ok,...yeah Katie sheās an old friend actuallyā¦more now and weāre just catching up on lost timeā¦ok Iāll see youā.
You, gently, tap Alessiaās waist to get her attention and lower yourself to her ear,Ā āYou alright?āĀ
Alessia hummed and only melted herself more into you as your chest rumbled again but from laughter.
āYou want to head out? Donāt want you to fall asleep standingā¦well you might actually trip over yourself if I let you go.ā Alessia doesnāt answer but nods into your chest.
You push her a little so that you can lead her out of the bar waving at the rest of the team to get home safe.
Alessia stops you, āCan you carry me home?ā she says quietly as she tries to stabilize herself without your aid but fails only to grab you by the arm.Ā
Without a word, you get in front of her and squat a little.Ā
āCome on, just get on my back, I can take you to mine, itās actually just a block and a half awayāĀ
Alessia, carefully, gets on your back and wrapping her arms around you neck as you hold her legs.Ā
The lights of the streets are almost blurry as Alessia laid her head on your back.
āI really did miss you, Soleā, you hear Alessia slur out from behind you.
You stop a bit before going up to the door of you auntās home, āme too, little starā.
________________________________
You assist Alessia into some of your clean clothes, obviously fitting way too big on her, combed through her hair, removed her make up, brushed her teeth, and finally lead her to your bed.
āIāll sleep on the couch downstairs -ā you began to say before Alessia, even though she was completely out of it, pulled you down to the bed next to her.
āDonāt be stupid, come on, you didnāt think I saw you with my jersey earlierā she muttered as she made her place in your arms and began to sleep. You only smiled as your fingers went through her hair and then rested at her hip as she feel asleep⦠you silently wishing that this would be your everyday but when have you ever been this lucky?
________________________________
Over the several weeks, Alessia would come only in the mornings opting to be selfish with the time that she spent with you. She would lean on the counter and talk to you as you were sat in the chair reading over your text book like the day she met you, sometimes even having your parents on the phone to speak with her. She thought, at the beginning, that you werenāt listening to her but you would occasionally insert little quips or observations.
āOk sorry to say but that video of you in Australia, that Mary shared, was actually really funnyā. You said as you highlighted another part of your textbook before setting it down on the table.Ā
Alessia rolled her eyes, āok I swear it was going to charge at me, anyways, Iām off to practiceā¦see you tomorrow?ā.Ā
You nod as you lean down and give her a quick kiss on the lips as she practically skipped out of the cafe.Ā
You look underneath the counter at the opened letter that you had received a week ago. It said of your new schedule that your clinicals would now be mornings and youād be assigned to a location to travel outside of the city in the afternoons.
āIāll tell her tomorrowā was the phrase you would say over and over again. Your resolve in actually telling her would melt away the moment Alessia waltzed in every morning with her smile that made you buckle.
Tomorrow would be the last possible day to tell her so you had to tell her, of course, you could only blame your own unwillingness to break her heart. You werenāt breaking up with her just telling herĀ
āHey, remember how we didnāt see each other for a really long time and we found each other and now things are great, well I have to go again but I will still remember youā¦hope you wait for me like I waited for youā¦ā
The next morning came and you had settled into your seat behind the counter like you always did and waited for your Little Star to walk in with her smile that was so bright itād make the moon jealous. You hid the sunflowers that you had got her under some newspaper, hoping, itād lessen the blow of what you were about to say to her.Ā
The minutes passed and the ding from your phone disturbed the comfortable silence.
āHey Sole, Iām not feeling too well today, think I ate something bad last night so Iām not coming in and just going to go back to bed,Ā donāt miss me too muchā followed with ā Little Star has notifications silencedā
You sighed with a frown, as you began to speak into your phone:
āYouāre going to hate me. Iām sorry-ā
Alessiaās heart dropped as she began listening to the voicemessages in her bathroom after sleeping for another 3 hours.
āIām going to be no longer working at the cafe because Iām going be fully dedicating myself to my studies. Clinicals at the hospital are picking up and I will be going out of town often to workā¦I wonāt be able to see you nor really talk to you. You are important to me and I am stupid for not telling you soonerā¦makes it seem like this is more important than you but it isnāt⦠I just didnāt want to break your heart.Ā
I love you, my little star, since the night at the bar. When you held onto me for dear life as we ādancedā. When I brought you home when you were drunk off your ass and could barely stand. I still smell the traces of your scent on my bed sheets; my clothes; my pillowcase no matter how many times I have washed everythingā¦the way you pulled me to bed to just hold you as you slept. I still remember the feel of you under my palms; every curve, every line as I passed my hands lightly on your hip as you quietly snored. I wished for that for so long with someone and Iām glad it was with my best friend.
I want to let you go because you deserve my full attentionā¦I hope that you wait for me like I waited for you, but if not then I hope that I can still cheer you on from across the field as you continue making a name for yourself.Ā
I love you my little star and always will.
Come by the cafe later, if youāre able, to pick up what I intended to give youā¦as a goodbyeā¦sorry I wonāt be here Iām actually leaving soon once my coworker clocks inā¦itās the first day I need to be out of townā¦I love youā
Alessia finally arrived at the busy cafe; which was an odd sight for her. The cashier, immediately upon seeing Alessia, motioned her over, allowing her to cut in front of the line.Ā
āSorry folks, just got to make a quick deliveryā the assumed university student apologized to the line before going back and quickly emerged with a small bouquet of sunflowers wrapped in newspaper with an envelope sitting amongst them.
Alessia took them with a sad smile and headed over to an open table in the corner. She pulled out the envelope seeing it was covered in stamps and re sealed several times.Ā
Carefully opening it she sees a neatly folded napkin, in front of a thicker paper, the napkin itself had written.
āMum sent me this right after I told her that we found each other again. This was the last time we were togetherā¦think you got a hat trick this game.ā
The napkin was set aside as Alessia took out the thicker paper turning it over to see it was a photo of the two of you as children.
Alessiaās then dark hair held up in low pigtails with a big smile as you held her up in a hug also a big smile adorning your face.Ā
Her sad smile was short lived as she looked at what you had written in the white part of the photo,
āThe Star and her SunāĀ
It was then Alessia decided to wait for you because what is a Star without her Sun.Ā
Hey yāall so Iāve been working on requests especially this Alessia Russo one that has gotten so long and I love it. Iāve been doing it while studying for the lsat so thatās why itās been a while since Iāve gotten something out. Iāve just come on here to say that it may be a little longer for me to release stuff because I just had a girl that I had been talking to for the last 6 months just end it with me during work today. Uh I cried at work and have been on and off crying and even crying as I am writing thisā¦yeah it kinda blind sided me so I will do my best to get the stuff out because Iāve liked writing it but writing romantic stuff right now is going to be so fucking hard because of the heart break so yeahā¦
