Asp Wittlebane didn't expect the phone call that morning. He didn't expect to ever think about his family again after he had finally gotten out.
But it wasn't like it could refuse to take his eight year old nephew in. He remembered how bad his own life had been in the Cult.
That hot day in June when Asp met the young boy, it knew it had made the right choice. -----
Thorn didn't know what to think when his family told him he would be forced to leave them and live with a sinner for a while. He would just have to listen to the adults around him, be a good Demon, until his Parents came to save him. But when the man who takes him turns out to be a lot better then he thought, will he want to leave when they do come back for him?
---
Asp takes Thorn in after CPS get him out of his abusive, cult like family and the boy slowly learns how to be a kid in a world that he doesn't fully understand. Luckily for him Asp is a great Papa though he doesn't realize it at first. Also featuring at first similarly Bible obsessed next door neighbor and a lot of trauma to work through.
