My biggest fear with the remake of RE: Code Veronica is that they will try so hard to make it grimdark, they will unintentionally remove all the camp that really added to the horror.

As much as I love the remakes, and I do love the remakes, they occasionally undermine what made the original game so special. For example: Alfred dressing as Alexia isn't a bit. It's not goofy. It's actually devastating. He dresses as her so he can see her face in the mirror and talk to her even when he is completely isolated. It's very Gothic to me. The memory of her literally haunts him and more or less possesses him even though she is still alive.

I am afraid capcom will course correct by removing story beats like that entirely and I don't want that. I am sure this is influenced by the fact that I am a fruity fan and I don't want to lose the queer elements that game had... and boy howdy... did it have some queer fucking elements.

"bottom chris" this "sub leon" that, Chreon are VERSE SWITCHES! Sometimes they flip the dynamics and position mid-thrust just for kicks. To me Chris very slightly tops more but you can't look me in the eyes and tell me that man wouldn't do whatever the hell Leon wants if he asks, every word. Got that oscillating service top/power bottom shit going on. They strike me as that couple who's just always on the same wavelength, its just this flow where they show up for eachother how the other one needs/wants and that of course bleeds into their sex life
