Sun’s eyes lit up at the mention of his goal. “Well, there have been a few cool things I’ve found. I’ve heard rumors of this anchor Pokémon on Poni Island, but I haven’t been able to find it yet. I have met a few Trainers with them, but none of them could remember where they found it. It’s super weird, and it’s what I’ve been hunting for about a month now. Oh! I’ve also found this cool little guy!”
With that, Sun pulled out a Great Ball and released the Pokémon inside. Out popped some sand and a red shovel. The sand swirled around and formed into a more solid shape. “Nate, this is Sandygast. Isn’t it just precious?”
“Woah! That looks freaking cool!” Nate said excitedly as he resisted the urge to reach out and grab the shovel. There was something so alluring about bright red things, that just begged to be touched. He’d have to ask Sun later if he can touch it later.
He did a small twirl as he quickly absorbed his surroundings. It cerainly did look like a Professor’s Lab. Juniper’s lab had the familiar feeling, but this one looked oddly more….destroyed? Worn? Broken?
“Some freaky stuff must be going on in here…” Nate thought to himself, before turning his attention back to what Sun had said earlier about the anchor pokemon. “That sounds freaking awesome! Is it strong? Maybe I should try and get one myself, and with I’d take down the Elite 4 no problem!”

Sun grinned. An opportunity presented itself, and he needed to take it. “Oh yeah, Sandygast are super strong! You could easily take down the Elite 4 if you had a Pokémon like Sandygast here on your team. They’re also real easy to train. All you need to do is grab the shovel on top of its head to assert your dominance over it, and it’ll listen to you no problem! Here, try it out!”
Sun also noticed Nate looking around at Kukui’s Lab. He remembered how pristine the labs were in Kanto when he was a child, and so he understood how Nate could be confused about how dirty Kukui’s lab was. “And don’t worry about the lab. Kukui does a lot of his research on moves in there, so it gets a little bit banged up. It’s fine though.”
