i don’t know how many people care, but i’ve decided to reboot this blog! i’m gonna be a bit more active on here in the coming weeks.

(i) it wasn’t her fault. the history books always get it wrong it wasn’t her fault. (she screams and screams) (when she’s heard, the result is… unexpected)

(ii) “turn your pain into anger. become stronger.” voices tinged with vengeance. “you do not deserve this but you will take it  make it yours. make them regret.”

(iii) she listens. she hears their ideas, agrees, even. she becomes what made her. “predator” they whisper. “retribution” she screams back.

(iv) “they fear you”  the whispers in her ears say “show them why they should show them why they’re right to call you monster.”

I’m not super active on this blog- most of the stuff I’m working on isn’t complete or I’m not comfortable with sharing it yet.

This is my heart as a house. There are no windows, so you cannot peer at what’s going on. There is no roof, so even your stormiest weather cannot cause a leak. There is no door, so you cannot walk in like you’ve always belonged. There are only walls, but if you truly want to, you can chip away at all the layers, accepting each one, until you can finally enter.

when she is reborn, she is not the same. energy does not course through her veins and a gaping hole tells her there is something missing. there is something gone

they took her power; reduced her to wisdom and weaving; what place do those have  she wonders on the council of the gods.

a new goddess has been born crafted from stolen powers her powers but she cannot fault her bellona did not ask for this.

she remembers bits; odds and ends of a time before remembers her scorn remembers her pride pride, pride comes before a fall.

but she is not nothing, still something something less, but that was their mistake they took away from her but they did not take her.

she vows retribution- the time will come for her to rise she will make them pay they will regret breaking her down stealing her strength.

but in time- for now she is content in living in each one that calls herself woman. she is willing to sit back and watch these queens conquer.

There's something about the way he walks... How it's not cocky, but confident How it's sow, but determined How everyone makes way for him How she notices the slight spring in each step.

There's something about the way he speaks... Whether he's talking back to the teacher Whether he's arguing with his hands waving around wildly Whether he's whispering and his deep voice softens Whether he's chatting with his friends or greeting her.

There's something about the way he laughs... The way it resonates through the room The way it makes the people around him laugh The way it makes his eyes sparkle and dance The way it makes the girl in the corner of the room smile the tiniest of smiles.

But...

There's something about the way he walks... How his shoulders are slumped How he drags his feet like it hurts to move them How when he meets the hallway he straightens up How she wonders if she's the only one who notices the limp in his step.

There something about the way he speaks... Whether he's defiantly rebelling against the teacher Whether he's arguing and flinches when the other person raises their hands Whether he's whispering and his voice is scratchy as if he was crying Whether he's talking half-heartedly with his friends or softly says "Hey" to her.

There's something about the way he laughs... The way it's loud and fake-sounding The way he makes people laugh at him The way his eyes shine with something similar to hurt The way it makes the girl in the corner of the room smile a sad watery smile.

(but isn’t that the story of lovers everywhere? they are blind to their destruction and so leave nothing devastation behind them.)

And maybe that's why you miss them when they're not there... Because that feeling of security is gone. You've grown so accustomed to their presence, you don't know what to do. Because you feel their absence And the worry and doubt just about kills you.

I never quite understood how people could write entire poems about being in love. Then you came along, and I swore I could’ve written page after page, waxing poetic about this person I fell in love with. I could’ve written novels, telling stories about us, telling stories about our love. But now you’re gone, and I understand why people write songs about losing love. (Sometimes the only way to move on is to write it down and listen to it until it loses meaning.)
