The fall out when we went into Bat City lookin for Death Harmonic and Triplicate was rough, but we’re pickin up the pieces. You might just see some transmissions soon if you’re listening to the lonely waves.

being a killjoy, as freeing as it is, isn’t all spray-painting walls, driving fast, and shooting lasers. it’s that, sure, but it’s also getting in fistfights at the market over the last can of food. your back aching from sleeping on the ground. sitting in a stifling car after your air conditioner stopped working. having to grin and bare it when you get injured in a clap because your team can’t afford painkillers. constant paranoia that you’re going to get captured or ghosted. going days without sleep. crying silently when you think no one’s watching because you’re just so damn sick of being scared.

but those certain days, the ones where you have your crew next to you and you’re all safe for the time being, laughing together and holding hands and being grateful for a second chance in all of this, undermines all the negatives. it makes it worth it.

Everyone in Battery City is just unbelievably touchstarved. Most people who've been in the Zones for a while are just super physical All The Time. It's not uncommon to just be talking to someone and they'll just be holding your hand, leaning on your shoulder, or playing with your hair or a piece of your jewellery or clothing, etc. If someone thinks you need a hug or a kiss, they'll hug or kiss you. It’s really weird for newcomers cos physical affection is super illegal in the city, but after a while, it's just part of being in the Zones (like, if you Don't Wanna be touched, no one will touch you, cos personal boundaries are even more important).

Patient removed his fingernails and proceeded to use the blood as a writing utensil to write on the walls. Patient was subdued; Exterminator #46 (Clearance Level 5) chose to leave text.

I just had a little look through the digital version (after putting in an order for a physical copy!) and I am astounded at the quality of work in this zine. There is clearly so much love and care put into every piece and I can’t wait to have my copy!
