transmasc jay oh how i love transmasc jay i feel like it can deepen his character in the show and how he went with his masculinity, ranging from trying very hard to conform into the rigid idea media has on what being a man in and then becoming comfortable with himself (and in turn his own masculinity) later on

Starting with Cole of course

I feel like jay and coles second biggest argument would be after the events of way of the departed.

You mean to tell me jay watches nya die, thinks cole fades away forever, is currently searching for a missing wu, and then Cole, his search partner, just mysteriously abandons leaves him to go on a solo adventure? No explanation outside of a silly letter that is implied doesnt explain much of anything other then not to worry bc if they knew the truth the ninja wouldve tried harder to find him

Yea, Jay would totally chew him out, esp when cole initially just doesnt think it was that big of a deal bc he's used to taking care of things alone when it involves himself and this inadvertantly pokes at jays abandonment wound.

And then Cole gets defensive and calls out Jay for not being honest himself. Bc he knows something has been bothering jay for months but hasnt pushed, hoping that he'd trust cole enough to explain on his own. And yea maybe cole running off alone and not trusting jay with what was going on with him had a little bit of pettiness tacked on knowing jay was keeping something from him.

"If jay is keeping secrets then he cant get mad if i do"

They eventually reach an understanding and this is how Jay finally decides to tell Cole about skybound.

And Id imagine this being another turning point in their relationship where they start to be a bit better at communcating. Extending the no bottling things up vow with no more secrets.

I know lots of people havent read wotd, but this is the second time Cole has canonically run off alone and almost died so it just adds another factor to why Jay became extra clingy to him in s8.

Anyways, I should write a oneshot or something. I already hinted at this headcanon in the one shot I did write through a throw away line

eyes are the window to the soul and what not! + a doodle

talking about the eye shapes and stuff below

urm urm! each one of their eyes is base modelled after a canon character’s eyes but im not sure how obvious who i took as a reference is. i think tatsuos shape would be the clearest, i just tilted it around a little bit to suit his personality more.

i gave yoshiko extra eyelashes! including for her bottom eyelash with how she uses mascara and puts a lot of time into her appearance. given how she really wants to stand out and is almost too set on being an individual i think letting her be the token one with clear under eyelashes would reflect that too :3c struggled a bit with making her look both sharp (personality) but loving but i think i nailed it well

for kimora i already had a clear base i could follow since my friend has made a fake sprite of her before, it was mostly to translate it into a bigger rendition. i HATED doing kimora’s eyelashes bro i hate using round shapes in my works but pop off king. i think out of everyone her eye shape was toyed with the most from the base?

motoki didn’t change much surprisingly. it was mostly the eyelashes that gave me a problem but again i think i pulled it off? i really like how it looks anyhow

There’s a million ways these two could get together, but let me raise you the one where jay is so used to making the first move he cannot fathom someone hitting on him so he believes cole is making fun of him crushing, meanwhile cole cant help showing his obvious affection for jay, but he's completely oblivious/in denial to his own feelings.
