I still don't buy syladin, for me they have something more intimate and special than a friendship, even more powerful than a romantic relationship.

It's like they are soulmate, literally have a bound for eternity, they grow up together and they even have a kind of codependency. I see their vincule so divine and special that I can not see them romantically.
