A post to share that JasonMorganFan87 has renewed my love for The Vampire Diaries and The Originals in their lastest fics. Made me see a new light on Elena's character that I like. I'm now eagerly waiting for each new chapter.
Her stories focus on Elena's relationship with the Originals in a familial capacity (ex : what if Klaus or Elijah was actually her father, etc.) Her latest one with Kol is my favorite for now, along with the one with Elijah. The relationship between the original family is also a highlight!
Nothing greater than crawling into bed and reading fan fiction about the same two people falling in love in every conceivable universe. My yaoi time is sacred.
Bella didn’t look at anyone after she dropped the bomb about Victoria being after her. Sam was unphased by it because he already knew but he was still vibrating along with Jacob because of the many what ifs that could happen to Bella. It took Jared and Paul yelling at them to go outside, Bella stood there while Leah moved closer to her and pulled her into a hug the idea that Bella was endangered and the cullens didn’t bother with killing Victoria after getting rid of James pissed off Leah, but she knew right now Bella needed her while Sam and Jacob handled whatever the hell they were doing.
“You mean to tell me that Bella is your imprint?” Jacob spoke in the pack mind it meant that Bella would be protected but Bella didn’t even know about Sam imprinting on her. Jacob didn’t know what to do or even what to say, he’s been in love with Bella since they were kids and he was hoping he would imprint on her. Yet the spirits had other plans for him but for his pack brother? He wouldn’t be mad because he Knows Sam will make sure that Bella is happy.
“Jake you know I didn’t mean for this to happen don’t you?” Sam answered back even as the two stopped in a meadow after picking up a scent it smelled of bleach and death something neither of them had ever picked up before. It was strange as both Jacob and Sam followed the scent, it was a trap but both Jacob and Sam were able to handle it. A new born vampire on their ancestral home and no Victoria in sight? What were they even thinking? What was Victoria planning? It was all becoming too much for everyone to know.
Back at the pack house which was basically just Sam’s house that he had inherited from his Grandmother, it was a beautiful house with a wrap around porch. A outdoor kitchen that was connected to the inside kitchen, a porch swing, a big living room and four bedrooms. Bella was making food because she was worried about what was going on and why Jacob and Sam had been gone for hours. Paul, Jareth, Quil, Embry and Seth were out patrolling while Leah had stayed behind to help Bella cook. Yet someone had knocked on the door, that had caused Leah to let out a growl as a warning before she opened the door. There was no terror on Leah’s face but when Bella saw who it was she froze.
“What do you want Cullen.” Leah growled out.

It’s a little short because I’m at work and bored because of the storm we’re about to get.
Bella from Twilight is so funny to me, in the film when she first catches Edward at the end of her bed and let's out a girly little gasp before going back to sleep?
Bitch. The SCREAM I would have SCRUMPT at seeing that creepy ass "mum I frew up" sleep paralysis demon looking weirdo.
Yes I get that Edward is handsomer than sin but not even that amount of pretty privilage absolves you of that behaviour.
Bella should’ve had a cat that absolutely loathes Edward
Not in the way that animals are generally frightened of vampires. It’s actually pretty okay with the other Cullens. Alice even manages to get in its good graces
But Edward can read animal minds (as much as they can be read; they don’t think in words. They don’t have much conscious thought processes to read, period) and while most animals just think ((fearfearfearfear)) around him, Bella’s cat thinks the feline equivalent of “fuck that guy”
Okay okay if I was a writing kind of woman I’d be slaving away over a werepanther Bella AU
Why a cougar? A couple of reasons:
-They’re solitary. This is rubbing salt in the wound since I'm setting this thang in New Moon. When Bella eventually finds out about the Quileute pack, she gets a sense of being less alone (what a coincidence that there’s more shifters the next town over! (Again: not a coincidence, that’s why Charlie lives in Forks, he just didn’t tell her that)) but being a wolf means becoming even more connected to the community. It comes with a purpose (protecting the tribe), brotherhood. It just reminds Bella how isolating her own condition is.
-If you’ve followed me for a while you know I revel in irony. Bella is the most appealing smelling human to Edward and when she’s not human, she’s his preferred alternative food source. No escape from being a snacc. No escape from reminders of him while he’s gone. Lmfao, rofl, lol, etc.
Okay now hear me out:
Twilight/Midnight Sun happen as Twilight/Midnight Sun did.
Edward leaves Bella to preserve her shot at a normal human life in the beginning of New Moon. Bella tries to follow him through the woods. She’s so disoriented and desolate that when she eventually stumbles into a frantic Charlie in the woods, the fear in his eyes is confusing. She sees him reach for his gun, and she panics and runs off. What the hell?
It’s not until she finally collapses in exhaustion that she realizes everything feels… wrong. And not just I-had-my-heart-torn-out wrong— that feeling had blinded her to some pretty dramatic physical changes. When she collapses, the fall isn’t as far as it should have been. She should feel colder, based on the pitch black on the sky she’s finally noticing. Her hands are…. Not hands. They’re paws. Huge paws.
She passes out from shock, wakes up in her room. Charlie tells her Sam Uley found her buck naked miles into the woods— what the hell happened? Bella of course doesn’t mention her hands turning into paws and assures Charlie that her being naked was not from untoward behavior on Edward’s part. She blurts out that she had a mental break— and she’s telling the truth. She’s in denial about turning into something with paws. Honestly, finding out that she was naked when Sam found her seems normal compared to that.
Nothing happens again for a while. Possibility.mp3. She’s reclusive from the pain of the breakup as in canon, but also, being Bella, she can’t stay in denial about what happened to her right after it for long. She starts wandering into the woods, trying to make something happen again, and also trying to track down the meadow. She convinces herself more and more that nothing weird did happen; her mind had just cracked from the stress that night. She really is crazy. Her subconscious took Edward’s comments about her living a safe, normal life and said “oh yeah? Watch this” and had her hallucinate that she’s as inhuman as he is.
Then she runs into Laurent. He attacks. She shifts again. It shocks him enough that despite her lack of experience, she gets some good licks in before he runs off— straight into a pack of humongous sapient wolves that tear him to shreds. She runs from them while they’re occupied with the vampire, but they eventually find her. She climbs up a tree, and can’t help but cackle at the irony of being a cat tree’d by a bunch of dogs. She nearly falls out of the tree when two of the wolves turn into Sam and Jacob. The fuck. It’s not until Sam asks the lion “Who are you? We just want to talk” that Bella manages to reel her emotions in enough to go back to being human-shaped.
The wolves gently interrogate her. How long has she been like this? (Not long.) Did she know about them? (No. She didn’t even know about herself.) What the fuck? (Her thoughts exactly.) If she’s white, how is she also a shifter? (Oh my god, Seth, you can’t just ask someone why they’re a shifter.) (…She doesn’t know, anyway.) Is this why the leech family left? (Not exactly. They left because of her, but they didn’t know about this. They left so she could stay human, and the stress of it broke her and ripped her humanity away.)
She thinks long and hard about Edward’s final words to her. He left so she could go back to normal. But that’s not how people work. There’s no back to normal. He’d already affected her life. Knowing him affected her life, and thank god there’s no going “back to normal”; if she was normal, Laurent would have killed her. Normal is less painful, but it’s also just less. She starts to get bitter, thinking of how much Edward prized her humanity. She always saw the humanity in him despite his nature; if he came back, would he still see the humanity in her— her, now capable of being far more visibly inhuman than he?
His conflation of humanity and morality not only blew up their relationship, but his decision to preserve her humanity against her will triggered something that twisted her beyond recognition. I think I'd keep the "how" of her were-ness vague, but drop in some Stress-Diathesis/epigenetic implications like the Quileutes have— she was born with the ability to become this (Renee and Charlie have some 'splainin to do), but it would have stayed dormant if not triggered by exigent circumstances. Smooth move, Edward.
She finds she doesn’t mind being inhuman, though. She revels in it, really. He tried to take away her choice of breaking free from normality/humanity, but here she is anyway. She was never normal. She may not get to be like him like she wanted, but she gets this small bit of recalcitrance against his final act. She spends a lot of time in the woods. She practices and practices the shift until its second nature.
On one of her jaunts through the woods, she ends up at the Cullen house. She didn’t realize she’d been heading there, but the real shock is seeing Carlisle’s Mercedes parked out front. Picking up the scent of vampire—strong but not unpleasant; cold and assaulting like mint— she prowls around the house. Slinking through an open window in the kitchen, she finds an owl-eyed Alice. They stare at each other in mutual bewilderment until Bella can’t help it; she pounces. Out of anger or elation, she can’t say, but Alice instinctively gets defensive (because, duh, a bigass cat just launched itself at her). Bella realizes the miscommunication and forces herself to shift back, leaving a very stunned Alice with an armful of very naked Bella.
Bella’s never seen Alice at a loss for words before. When Alice finally finds some words, Bella’s not expecting them to be “You’re alive?” (“…Hello to you, too, Alice.”)
Alice explains that she ‘saw’ Bella encounter Laurent, and then her future went black. Same miscommunication as in New Moon goes down, except instead of going straight to the Volturi, Edward is going after Laurent first for revenge. Alice saw that Edward will instead run into Victoria, and when he learns that Laurent is dead and there’s no vengeance to be had, he’s going to let her kill him. Alice helps Bella intercept Edward, both of them ready to jump Victoria. Victoria sees she’s outnumbered and hastily escapes. Alice pursues her; Edward doesn’t. Edward is fixated on mountain lion!Bella.
Despite the pandemonium raging in her mind and heart at the circumstances, Bella’s reminded of some warnings that Alice imparted upon her at the Cullen house before they left: Edward has been starving himself for months, his mind and heart are broken, and he’s in fight mode from running into Victoria. So when he happens upon the most delicious-smelling mountain lion he’s ever encountered, he doesn’t think twice about attacking. He doesn’t notice how unnaturally strong and intelligent its movements are, only reacts to the unusually difficult prey by throwing it against a boulder— hard.
In the heat of the moment, Bella couldn’t focus enough to shift back into a human to explain everything to Edward. Knocked unconscious, she naturally reverts back to her usual shape.
Edward sees that he just threw and hurt Bella, and falls to his knees. It’s a sickening reenactment of her 18th birthday, only worse because he wasn’t hastily protecting her from Jasper— he himself actively attacked and tried to eat her.
She lives, of course, but it's a close call. Edward knows just enough about the wolves to know biting her would possibly be dangerous for her— he surrendered the ability to save her with vampirism now that she's a were-.
Meanwhile, Victoria has shaken Alice's pursuit and sees an opportunity with Bella incapacitated and Edward distraught/distracted. She attacks. Has Edward right where she wants him, but his scream rouses Bella. She wakes, shifts, and takes Victoria's head in one final, nasty scrap. When Edward goes to approach her again, she instinctively flinches (he nearly killed her before and now she's bleeding everywhere). It's all too much. Being dizzy and scared as hell, she hisses at him and runs.
Knowing he royally fucked up on so many levels, Edward doesn't chase her immediately. She interprets this as him being repulsed at worst and disinterested at best now that she's less-than human. The thought of it snaps something in her; she can't change back. She's stuck as a lion. It's the unconscious emotional equivalent of the cliff-jumping she does in canon. She just... lets go. There's something pure and simple about being in this form. It's so much easier to not think, not care, just be. It's a bit of a protest, too; Edward left her to keep her human, so how about she leans in the exact opposite direction? Of course she's scared of losing everything if she never becomes human again, but the more she panics, the more her lion-brain wins out. She's really truly stuck. Maybe if she turns out to be immortal like the wolves, she can stalk Edward for eternity.
...Not that she'd need to. Like hell Edward's leaving again. Alice can't 'see' Bella anymore. That's one of many justifications Edward uses to tail her from afar. When he notices that she's acting less and less human, he starts talking. Not necessarily to her, at first. Not entirely. He's mostly berating himself at first, until he notices Bella noticed, and it brings some of the spark back into her eyes. So over the days, maybe even weeks, he uses the open forest air as a journal until he finally comes to the conclusion that if Bella isn't any less worthy of love when she's not human, then maybe the same applies to him. And there it is: the string that needed to be pulled to untangle the knot in her gut. With a deep sigh, she shifts back.
Bella's relieved. She's ecstatic, even, when Edward gathers her up in his arms. But honestly? She's mostly embarrassed. First of all, she's not magically insensitive to the fact that she's naked right now. And filthy. Second, it's sinking in how truly exposed she was when she was running entirely on instinct. Even though she's Classic Bella-shaped again, she's never felt this less-than-human.
It's going to be a long, hard road back to each other, and things will never be the same again. But that's okay.
Human Bella gets mad at Edward and closes her bedroom window so he won't come in. Then she lights a candle and leaves it on the window sill as a threat.
Instead of interpreting it as a threat, Edward worries all night about her house catching on fire but he refuses to break their agreement about if the window is closed he can't enter. So he's in the tree all night staring into the flames hating himself.
Meanwhile she's sleeping peacefully as the soft scent of lavender fills her room, a fire extinguisher by her side.
I honestly think Bella was having a worse time of it during New Moon than Edward was. I get that they were both separated from the love of their life and were both suffering immensely, but I think Bella had it worse.
Edward had his family to rely on. Even though he went off and did his own thing, they were still there. Bella had a family that loved and accepted her as one of their own completely abandon her without even saying goodbye, including her supposed best friend. And she couldn’t be completely honest with any of the people that were there because she couldn’t tell them about vampires.
Edward got to live with the knowledge that Bella loved him. Bella thought Edward didn’t love her at all.
Edward had been psyching himself up to leave ever since James happened. Bella was completely blindsided.
Edward was a vampire that could defend himself. Bella had to live with the knowledge that vampires are out there, that she smells incredibly good to them, and that there’s nothing she can do to protect herself. She had to live knowing what was lurking behind the shadows and be completely without protection from that.
Imagine if Edward had just a little less self control and wasn’t able to restrain himself that first day in biology, that he actually had killed all the students in that class and then Bella. No matter how hard they try, the Cullens would not have been able to cover that up. The Volturi definitely would’ve gotten involved, and Edward probably would’ve died for being too conspicuous. No amount of Aro covering his gift could protect him from that fuck up. And imagine the residents of Forks after that. A whole classroom of students gets murdered in one class period. Imagine Charlie getting called because a whole classroom of students was killed, including his daughter who just moved back. And Edward would obviously be the first suspect, because he was the only one in that class to make it out alive.
People are talking about Alice Cullen so I decided to join the rant rollercoaster - for me what Alice did in New Moon was totally illogical. Forcing Bella, a human, to come with her to the Volterra to the Volturi where they eat humans was out of the place and it was done only so Edward will be saved. What she was thinking that is gonna happen to Bella there? Aro, Marcus and Caius will greet Bella with open arms and smiles on their faces? It only shows that top priority for her was Edward all along. Bella or anyone else in the equasion was no importance to her at any given place or time and it gives me the massive ick as she was forcing her "friendship" on Bella from the very start. What kind of friend does that?
It’s so strange to me that when Alice was trying to manipulate Bella into letting her plan the wedding, she said that it was so she could live vicariously through Bella because she doesn’t remember her human life. Girl, be so for real. Rosalie and Emmett get married every decade. Live vicariously through them. Or, better yet, have your own big fancy wedding! Jasper would do anything for her, so he’d be all over it if Alice told him she wanted to get married again in a fancy ceremony. But no, she just had to manipulate the human girl that doesn’t like attention or parties to have a big party where she’d be the center of attention.
What if, at the exact same time Edward got a whiff of Bella's scent, she ripped a massive fart?
It's unclear if that sort of thing bothers vampires as much as it does us. Again, it's not the sort of thing you'd expect covered in a romance book that does not want to remind us "then Edward smelled every shit she ever had and both of them avoided talking about it" buuuuuuut Edward kind of does mention A LOT of things I wouldn't expect in Midnight Sun so it'd probably have come up.
What we do know is high school can be a smelly, smelly, place and that the Cullens are way more bothered about the blood smell than the other smells.
But that doesn't mean Bella's okay with this.
Bella Rips a Big One
It happens.
The worst microsecond of anyone's existence who has ever lived.
You are the new girl in Forks, everyone knows your mom ran off on your dad and divorced him, everyone has been paying attention to you and treating you as weirdly popular all day.
Now you are in Biology, directed to your desk with the hottest boy you've ever seen in you life.
And you let loose.
And you see his face.
You see the utter hatred in his eyes as that stench wafts its way across the room towards him, the disgust, the genuine loathing and anger. And everyone knows you did it, even if they're not saying anything (and the people next to you on your way are gagging and really really really trying not to laugh).
But Bella has to make it to that desk or else it will be even more obvious she nearly shit herself.
But Edward Cullen looks as if he wants to kill her for being the stinkiest ugliest creature alive.
Oh god in heaven.
Bella, so as not to cause even more of a scene, makes it to the lab table where she does more or less what she does in canon and desperately hides herself with her hair, blushing bright red, thinking "oh fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck" the entire time as Edward is... clawing at the table like a very angry dog and CAN CLEARLY STILL SMELL EVERYTHING.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Bella has never wanted to die more in her life.
Aftermath
We'll say that Bella survives Biology, she witnesses Edward begging to be changed classes (oh noooooooooooooooooooooo, it's so obvious it's because of her and he thinks she has IBS) and goes home and has a very, very, very long cry. Not making this better is Charlie asking how school was and Bella having to lie through her teeth "it was so normal and great".
NOTHING COULD MAKE THIS FUCKING WORSE.
It gets worse.
Edward's not at school the next day.
Now, this could all be a coincidence, it has to be, he wouldn't be absent just because a smelly girl sat next to him in Biology. That would be insane. Except she can't shake the horrible suspicion that it is her.
And worse, he's definitely told his beautiful family, they are... looking at her...
Oh, mother of god.
Fortunately, everyone else seems to have forgotten Bella's silent but deadly, or at least are pretending to, so Bella can sort of, try and pretend, it never happened...
All while a horrible part of Bella hopes that Edward never returns and she never has to confront this ever again.
One week later he's back.
Turns out he had mono.
He seems... shockingly normal in Biology, probably because he isn't smelling the smell. But then he keeps... asking her weird questions. Why is he doing this? What does he want? DOES HE SOMEHOW STILL SMELL THE FART?!
Bella is dying, just dying, he's so hot and now it turns out he is charming and she just farted all over his face (she did not but she forgets this and it feels that way so it doesn't matter).
Bella hopes this ends soon...
Then the next morning he saves her life in the parking lot with superhuman strength and now Bella farted in the face of Spiderman. Why, God, why? All the way to the hospital, in which Edward rides with her, she is praying she doesn't shit herself. Is that likely? No. BUT WOULDN'T THAT BE THE WORST THING TO EVER HAPPEN?!
OH NO, EVEN EDWARD'S ADOPTIVE DAD IS HOT. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
All while terrible of tooting, Bella still manages to tell Edward she would like to know the truth and why she's covering for him. Yes it's... really, really, really nice of him he has not brought up ze fart since it happened, so nice, but, uh, this is bigger. Probably. Okay, he could totally ruin her school life but, you know, BELLA WANTS TO KNOW.
Edward refuses to tell her but doesn't threaten to tell the school about ze fart so... that's nice of him. Maybe. Just maybe--oh god, no, Bella remembers his fucking face and he totally smelt it and knew exactly who dealt it.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Edward Ignores Bella for a Week
Bella is sad she's getting ignored by Hot Edward but is very, very, very pleased he's not using her great secret against her. In return, she is not telling anyone his big secret. Not that she would anyway. And maybe he wouldn't either, maybe he is this cool and mysterious and hot and oh god her first interaction with him was farting.
Regardless, he's probably Spiderman and she farted, these are equally important and life-ruining secrets.
They both set about ignoring each other and the deadly secrets each knows about the other.
Until Edward cracks.
He can't do this anymore, Bella, he cannot ignore her. Bella sure hopes that doesn't mean their unspoken deal where he doesn't mortify her in front of the entire school is off. Oh, no, he wants her to guess what he is. Bella really should have been spending more time thinking about that than their horrible meet-cute, huh.
Bella desperately guesses, apparently all wrong.
Oh, Edward implies he's sexy but dangerous.
Well that's scary--but all Bella can think about is the time she farted.
TL;DR
Twilight is essentially the same except that Bella is struck by the existential terror that Edward's first impression of her was a fart. She never has the courage to directly confront this, however, so it becomes an unspoken blemish on their relationship and Bella is not surprised when Edward dumps her because she always knew he remembered.
