Daisuke found himself in an office with glass walls, waist-deep in various stacks of files. Before he could even get his bearings, the floor began to move, and a whirling sound started behind him. A quick glance over his shoulder confirmed its origin : at the end of the room was a gigantic paper shredder, engulfing the piles of documents.
On the opposite side of the room, Daisuke spotted a door. If he had a single chance of getting out of there alive, this was it. He started moving towards it, despite the papers making his task difficult. Making his way through the mess, he haphazardly grabbed one of the files. As soon as his eyes set on the title, his blood froze.
"Is SWEET☆CHOCOLA leader Chiharu really single? All about her forbidden love!"
This was... the scandal that had almost destroyed the group. Only after pulling some strings and bribing the right people had he managed to limit the damage. And still, the stain on the group's reputation... had never completely vanished. This was, without a doubt, the worst failure of his short career.
The roaring of the machine brought him back to his senses. It was getting closer, and there was no time to waste. Daisuke made his way through the papers, failing to ignore the sensationalist titles. "Who is really in charge of SWEET☆CHOCOLA? The young secretary's secret life!", "Exclusive! Natsuki's mother finally speaks!". As he got closer to the door, though, one article grabbed his attention.
"SWEET☆CHOCOLA's popularity plummets! Is the young secretary's absence to blame?"
Forgetting his predicament, he grabbed the piece of paper, reading through it as quickly as he could. It was dated... from a few months after his entrance at Hope's Peak. Had he... Just what had happened during those two years? He didn't care whether or not the article was fake. All he knew is that he had to get out of there. He pushed towards the door with all his strength - he could almost reach the handle...
When it opened itself.
Daisuke barely caught a glimpse of Monobear, smoking a cigar in a suit, before he felt a draft come into the room. It turned into a gust as the myriad of files scattered around the room came flying onto him. Despite his best efforts to cover his face, the papers cut like razors, leaving long, scarlet gashes all over his skin. Every single cut smarted, and soon enough the pain became unbearable. Daisuke collapsed, inches from the door, as the moving floor took him to his ultimate demise.
Daisuke Techou, Super High School Level Secretary, has been executed.
I miss you! You were a wonderful character and you seemed to be a genuinely nice person. I can't tell if this post is ic or ooc but either way R.I.P. you! Looks like they found your killer, though. I hope you two will be okay in the afterlife. Maybe one day we can all see each other again. (wtf is this ic or ooc idfk)

You enter the pool area with cautious steps. The floor is still wet in places, after all, and you have always been told that running around that running around a pool is dangerous. As you get closer to the water, though, you see him.
[ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ]
Daisuke Techou, the Super High School Level Secretary, floating face down in the middle of the pool. Given his attire, you doubt he simply went for a swim. You hear somebody shout his name, but the boy remains motionless, drifting across the chlorinated water. There is no use in denying it. He is dead.
You remember Daisuke urging everybody to work together to find a way out. Even if he hadn’t exactly been the most considerate about it, you are sure that he had meant well for everybody - he had always been eager to make himself useful. And yet, in the end…
The terrifying realization slowly dawns on you - somebody here had killed Daisuke, and it was up to you to find them.
Usoko… Tsuki… Koharu thought hard about it. The name sure sounded familiar… Usoko… Usok… Sock… OH! THAT’S RIGHT!
"Oh, her! I beat up her shadow in the animus just a bit ago!~"
Koharu laughed. She didn’t actually know the girl, but it was humorous that she had just beaten her in the animus and now someone was asking about him.
"… But to be honest I don’t know where she would be right about now… But she’s probably around this area somewhere… It seems like everyone is right now!~"
Koharu thought about it for a moment… She had looked at who her suitemate was earlier… She couldn’t remember his name other than that it was seemed feminine…
"While on the topic of suitemates…"
She pulled out her id and flipped through it until she found the name she was looking for.
"Do you know a Hidoikyuu Kohen?"
Wow, great job Koharu. You JUST looked at the name not two seconds ago. Two names botched, 24 to go. Hopefully he knows who you’re talking about.
How could you even mess up a name you just looked up? Really. What kind of idiot lacked the short term memory to pull off a simple task like that. Daisuke took a moment to give his writer a disapproving stare through the fourth wall. What kind of idiot, indeed.
"Yes, I know him. I was with him before Monobear appeared."
"I do not think you will be seeing much of him, though. He seemed pretty adamant about not sleeping in his room. Something about the fourth floor and bad luck. I offered him to stay in my room, but I don't know myself where he is at the moment."
No more coins?! What a travesty! Not that Koharu could talk… She also had ended up spending all of her coins…
"Well, when you get another coin, perhaps you should try it!~"
She said grinning. The second point was another concern. A way out? Hmm. She hadn’t been looking too hard, but there were a couple of oddities she had gotten a glimpse of.
"Not particularly… I mean, there’s two portals we know nothing about in the portal room… And that fifteenth door in the animus… but other than that I’ve got nothing!~"
How could she be proud of that lack of information?! But then she continued.
"But you know those animus places? They’re pretty neato! I was in a super pretty glass palace the first time, and then I was at the beach and it was super coolio!~"
Nope, it didn’t seem like she was talking about anything useful…
Daisuke let out a sigh. He wasn't exactly expecting anything new, but it was still disheartening all the same. At least, the girl did not seem too shaken up about the situation, which was... good, he supposed?
"I did go into the animus. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be of much help to us at this point, unless magic wands somehow start working outside of it."
There was a pause. He was not sure exactly what he had come here for, but he was now fresh out of ideas.
"Hmm. You would not happen to know where Usoko Tsuki is, by chance? She is my suitemate, apparently, but I still haven't met her."
