*Spoiler alert in case you haven't played the game yet and plan to. Some details from the game will be talked about to tell my story.
Hello! How is everyone? Super Miku Sonico here, and I'm here to tell the story of how I first met Coconut!
It was April 9, 2017! I had just got home from work and was tired and ready to relax. I had just ate dinner and was in the mood to play some games. I had noticed over the past few months, that visual novel games were becoming more popular and abundant on Steam. I searched through the selection of visual novels and noticed some were kind of expensive. I was a bit broke at the time so kept looking for something on sale. That's when I came across Nekopara Vol. 0!
Nekopara Vol. 0, it was listed as a free download game, so I took a look at it. I watched the video and looked through the screenshots and discovered it was full of cute kitty girls and was a story about a day in their life, so I decided to give it a shot.
The game started with Chocola and Vanilla, Coco-chan's youngest sisters, getting woken up out of bed. The game progressed 1 hour of day time per scene, showing their activities for the day. Breakfast time in the game, is when Coconut made her first appearance!
As soon as I seen Coconut on screen I fell in love with her! She was wearing jean shorts and a pink off the shoulders, 3/4 sleeve shirt. It had a purple ribbon that went around the middle and her sleeves, with bows! The ribbon tied into a bow just above her breasts! Underneath, she had on a purple bikini top and bottom! Around her neck, she had a cute little bell! She has full heterochromia, her left eye a deep beautiful sapphire blue, and her right eye a bright but soft amber yellow! Her beautiful light, almost platinum blonde hair looked so soft and pretty against her slightly tanned skin. Along with the long hair that reaches down to her butt, she had an equally big and floofy soft tail! Everything about her was beautiful and I was in love!
As the game progressed, I learned Coco-chan has an adorable personality to match her adorable and sweet appearance! During the breakfast scene, she was helping her sisters prepare food and also clean up a bit afterwards. She was trying very hard to focus and be responsible while helping. Despite this, she ended up breaking a bowl and felt really bad about it. It turns out while looking all mature and like an older kitty, Coco-chan is still very much a kitten! She grew up big fast because she's a Maine Coon. Coco-chan thinks that since she looks like a full adult kitty, it means she has to suppress her kitten side and urges when they come up. This continued throughout the game too. In one scene they are hanging laundry out to dry, and a butterfly makes an appearance. Coco-chan really wants to chase after the butterfly, but uses all her willpower to not chase it. Her sister Azuki did chase the butterfly though and whacked Coco-chan in the face while doing so. When this happened her inner kitten came out and she got into a fight with Azuki, wrestling style, that resulted in Azuki losing.  In another scene later in the game the girls are all going out to a café for drinks and cake. In this scene, the older sister Maple was the one that ordered for everyone. She had the server do latte art for Chocola and Vanilla, since they are still kittens and get excited over little things. Coco-chan seen it and thought it was really cute! She was also excited and wanted it too! When she got her coffee, Coco-chan was excited and happy to see her face drawn in coffee in the cup! It was so cute to see her happy over something small like that! The last scene I remember her being cute and kitten like was right before bed time. The room had a light with the old style drawstring to turn it off, cause the switch was currently broken. The string was long enough for the girls to easily reach. Chocola and Vanilla had started playing with the string. Coco-chan thought it looked fun but tried her best to resist. Despite her best efforts, Coco-chan's kitten side came out and she too joined the fun of swatting the string around!
The other side of Coco-chan's personality mentioned in this game, is that she is self-conscious of her body and some of her actions. During the lunch scene, there is a mishap and the food they are cooking gets ruined. Their "owner" Shigure, decides to just order takeout delivery for lunch. When she asks Coco-chan what she would like, she says she only wants one thing. Shigure asked her a couple times if Coco-chan was sure that's all she wanted. After that Coco-chan listed a couple of other dishes she wanted for lunch too, and then asked for it all to be upsized. She really did want all the food, but she felt bad about eating so much after placing her order. She has a high metabolism so she needs to eat more. I thought it was cute seeing her reaction, and at the same time felt bad for her. Luckily for Coco-chan, we like to eat food to, so we eat lots of food together, but also exercise to stay healthy! This makes her very happy! Between this and her kitten side though, I knew she was the girl for us!
By the end of the game I was fully in love with Coconut, despite just meeting her! Her sweet and adorable personality and appearance combined was cuteness overload! One year, and 4 months later, we're very much in love, and still a happy couple! I'm definitely glad I met her and have her in my life. Life is messy, but Coco-chan makes the little things not matter so much! I will always love her, and now you know the story of how we me!
