I wonder if Ava ever forgets the littler details of Sara’s crazy past and just gets momentarily bewildered by her when they come up.

…Like maybe one day they meet up in a park for a walk or something, and Ava finds Sara having a fluent conversation with someone she just ran into from China, and Ava is internally like, “What the hell, are you speaking–? Oh yeah, that’s right, you do speak Mandarin, don’t you.”

Or if Sara takes Ava to Star City at some point and while walking around, they get to a cemetery: “Hey, want to see my grave?” “Your what? No, Sara, I don’t want to see your grave. Why do you even have a grave??”

Or one day Sara comes back to the apartment with bags and is like “Thank GOD, do you know how long it took me to find a decent Pakistani* grocery store around here?” and Ava’s all confused until she processes the fact that Sara was with the League during her early adulthood when most people figure out how to feed themselves and it’s all she knows how to cook well.

(*They imply a few times that Nanda Parbat is in/near Pakistan, so I’m rolling with that)

I just love the idea of Ava occasionally thinking ‘wtf, who are you, woman??’ before quickly realizing, ‘Oh yeah, duh, my girlfriend is awesome’.

Ok, I absolutely didn’t realize that was Sara’s hand on Ava’s head when John was carrying her onto the ship, and now I can’t stop watching it.

I feel like Sara probably felt helpless in this moment because she doesn’t even know what’s going on and she can’t carry Ava somewhere safe herself.

So she has to let John carry her but she can’t not touch her, because not touching her feels like leaving her alone, and Ava’s already been alone for two weeks without anything familiar or gentle.

So she just keeps a hand on the back of Ava’s head so it won’t land too harshly on the bed and then puts her hand on her chest.

I know she’s doing this because of the runes on her chest, but also that’s what Ava does for her when she wants Sara to know she’s right there, and Sara’s doing the same thing for her.

Can we have an entire season of protective Sara Lance please and thanks??

I know they’re in the middle of a conversation here, but where I paused it they look like they’re asleep, and now I just want to see more of Ava and Sara cuddling in bed, along with them doing other cute, soft, domestic things, because I’m greedy.

It doesn’t even have to be in-episode. There could just be a special feature when the whole season comes out, entitled “For the Gays”.

Avalance + touch

I can’t shake the feeling that since Ava returned from her purgatory, Sara can’t stop touching her. First, to remind herself that Ava is there with her, that she is real and won’t disappear, that she won’t be taken from her once again. Then, to make sure Ava knows that she is loved and cared for, that she is there for her, no matter what.

I’m just imagining everything in between Sara finding Ava in the motel and getting Ava back to the ship.

Like, the whole situation running through Sara’s head while she wraps Ava up and has to get John to carry her because she’s too tall for Sara to do it herself.

Sara feeling murderously protective and ready to kill whoever did this, because Ava was asleep sitting up which means that for two weeks she was probably alternately awake and then literally so exhausted she just slumped over where she was.

Sara fixating on little things like how she’s been trapped in that room in just her underwear, and she knows Ava’s always cold because she always takes Sara’s hoodies on the ship, and always snuggles back into Sara for warmth in the middle of the night, and also WHY is she just in underwear? And who the hell scratched symbols into her skin so much that she’s got dried blood on her, and what if she was hurting, and what if they’re infected?

And driving back to the Waverider–we know Sara would usually keep her cool if her team was around, but John and Nora are probably her closest matches in terms of history of darkness and stoic badassery; they understand that she needs to fall apart a little bit, so they sit in the front to give Sara some privacy so she can hold Ava in her lap and turn to mush with her.

And Sara simultaneously being out of her mind worried because Ava’s hurt and in danger, but also relieved because she’s missed Ava so, so much and it feels so good to hold her, touch her face, stroke her hair, even just be close to her.

And then having to turn it all off and collect herself as Sara Lance does best, so she can go to hell and get her girl back.

Ava’s greatest insecurity is not only that she is a clone and that Sara wouldn’t want her because of that. But also that she is, in her own eyes, a damaged and faulty clone.

“But I’m a…”

She fully expected Sara to pick one of the other “perfect” Ava’s i the warehouse.

Every IKEA have a section of discount items, furniture that have been returned, demo samples, faulty production units and damaged goods aka an AS IS department. And here is Ava in the middle of all these random items, there’s even a ‘damaged’ sign seen in the background at one point. She’s even propped up on display as if she was one of those things.

But here’s the point, look closely, not one single item in there is the slightly damaged or faulty. Including Ava.

All the props to the LoT writers for their attention to detail and symbolism.

And then Sara came over the next morning. Had pancakes with Olicity, looked at pictures of William, Felicity told her about baby Mia, and they just talked. Like friends.

Okay but Arrow you can’t just spring “Earth 2 Sara has a kid” on me without any details??? Who does she have a kid with Arrow?? IS IT EARTH 2 AVA OR SOMEONE ELSE???

i’m just gonna say it: i’m not happy with siren’s redemption. i, for one, don’t think that she’s earned the black canary mantle and she’s certainly nothing like laurel lance was. just because they share a name and are played by the same actress it doesn’t mean that they’re the same character. the redemption felt really rushed and it didn’t make sense for everyone to not only forgive her, but to give her the last piece of laurel left. i’d be happy if i knew for sure that this is katie leaving but we know she’s gonna appear in the finale as black canary and she’s definitely gonna be in season 8. all of this just makes me miss earth-1 laurel more.
