Environments slowly looking better!
Getting background tiles in really improved things. I feel a lot more confident in the game now.
Beta cutscenes running on iOS
In retrospective, I had no idea how adorable and hilarious the Carrot Lord was going to be. He’s definitely trying his best to be a good end-level boss, but these days young pups like the Mango Maiden run circles around him.
His gestures in cutscenes all come out looking really cute too. I’m a big fan of him, I’ve realized.
For those curious, a bit of his look was inspired from a statue I saw at Inari Shrine in Kyoto. The look was just too good not to pass up! I
This little birdy-wizard is inspired from from a baddie that I learned to love in Mega Man II, so I ended up including it as a bit of a tribute.
Designing the last level for the game. Whew!
Next is polish, polish, polish!
