Canon confirmation of the employee's heights
Nobody is talking about this, I haven't seen any posts or discussion about it but with the addition of the Feiopar, the heights of the employees in Lethal Company have been confirmed: we're short! The bestiary entry for the Feiopar writes that Feiopar' are 5 feet tall on average, so if we take that knowledge and compare the in-game model to the employees, the Feiopar is much taller at only 5 feet.
There have already been posts about calculating the employee's heights using the Old Bird which is stated to be 19 feet, the result of that being that the employees are about 4'6". The Feiopar seems to confirm that.
The reason the employees are so short could maybe be due to generations of famine and food insecurity causing humans to become shorter- we dont know just how long humans have been in space for at the point of gameplay. There is a poster in the ship urging for food conservation, so we certainly know famine is a problem. The shorter you are, the less food is required to SUSTAIN survival, so from an evolutionary standpoint it makes sense that humans would gradually become shorter after centuries of food insecurity. We know Sigurd's logs were written 500 years prior to gameplay (iirc) and at the point of Sigurd's logs its safe to assume humans had been in space for centuries already. 500-1000 years, possibly more, is definitely enough time for the enshortification of humans to occur.
But thats just my guess.
