When I hear the screams of the crowd, I think it’s because I must look stunning. Then I notice something is rising up around me. Smoke. From fire. Not the flickery stuff I wore last year in the chariot, but something much more real that devours my dress. I begin to panic as the smoke thickens. Charred bits of black silk swirl in the air, and pearls clatter to the stage. Somehow I’m not afraid to stop because my flesh doesn’t seem to be burning and I know Cinna must be behind whatever is happening. So I keep spinning and spinning. For a split second I’m gasping, completely engulfed in the strange flames. Then all at once, the fire is gone. I slowly come to a stop, wondering if I’m naked and why Cinna has arranged to burn away my wedding dress. But I’m not naked. I’m in a dress of the exact same design of my wedding dress, only it’s the color of coal and made of tiny feathers. Wonderingly, I lift my long, flowing sleeves into the air, and that’s when I see myself on the television screen. Clothed in black except for the white patches on my sleeves. Or should I say my wings. Because Cinna has turned me into a mockingjay.

Album Theory

As you all know, we’re waiting in anticipation for Pentatonix’s new original album, and I have some good news and some bad news. 1) it’s coming soon. 2) “soon.” BUT it may be sooner than we all think.

I noticed a trend when looking through Pentatonix’s videos earlier, also while talking to some ass hat (See: xelethaine). Right before PTX announces their albums, and the pre-orders, they’ve done an evolution/medley video. Before they announced PTV Vol. I (Starships) they did As Long as You Love Me/Wide Awake, before PTX Vol. II (Daft Punk) they did Evolution of Music, before PTX Vol. III (Problem) they did Evolution of Beyonce, before their original album…

This trend isn’t without reason and that’s the genius of Pentatonix. The trick behind how they sell so well is that they know how to set themselves up for success. Because they do these big evolutions, or videos bound for virality, they will have more people watching for what they’re going to do next. They will have more people waiting for their album. They post medleys and follow them up with their album so more people will see them and it’ll improve their sales.

On top of that, we didn’t even know they were filming EoMJ. We were left entirely in the dark until the night of when they were all of a sudden like “Here’s a thing!” and it wasn’t on a Tuesday. They’ve perfected this machine to make us want to buy the album for ourselves, our family, and anyone who can’t afford it. Those fucking geniuses…

TL;DL If they posted an Evolution video, an album isn’t far behind. Be afraid.

I’m 99% certain that the album will be out before the Piece By Piece tour, because they’ll need something to sell to Kelly’s fans. The tour starts July 11th, so we can expect the album before then
