Laying Some Groundwork • Part2 Addressing a stiff big toe The big toe is much more important than one may think. During normal gait (walking) the entire body must advance over the 1st met head (base of the big toe). When the body can’t advance thru this joint, due to stiffness and restriction, the body will find a way around it and this can sometimes cause numerous conditions and injuries up the chain. This self mobilization is a nice and simple way to improve the mobility of this joint which can even lead to improved foot and ankle mobility. Couple this mobility drill with Part 1 of the series which was posted a few days ago w/ @michaelbettale and Part 3 of the series that we will show tomorrow.
