Just wanted to share this watercolor illustration that will be used as a book cover for the paperback version of 「江の島ねこもり食堂」(Enoshima Nekomori Syokudo). This is a novel published in Japan.

“Bother / Cull” • Gouache, watercolor, and gold acrylic painting for Invasive at Archimedes Gallery in Cannon Beach OR

I found a lot of dead gulls on the shore in Cannon Beach when I visited last year. One was missing a head and I buried her in the dunes. I love every animal but I love gulls more than all the rest combined. They’re impossible to draw, I will never capture for you how I feel about them.
