New Client and Partner from Finland

As the title says our next job took us to Finland, but a lot has changed during these few months since we last updated our blog. First of all Surface Labs International signed an investor contract with Wiser Financial Advisors OÜ and now we are in the middle of building up our team. Soon we will announce some great news about this.

We have done a lot of sales work and now we have a partner in Finland - a Finnish advertising agency called HeyDay. HeyDay is focused on multi-toch advertising. The team behind Surface Labs International is really looking forward to new upcoming projects with team HeyDay!

Today we installed our product "SLI-De 180"  into HeyDay's office in Helsinki, Finland.

Exhibition day no. 5 / 6

Yesterday was the last exhibition day. We demoed our product SLI-De 180 to a lot of people and we made some interesting contacts from Siemens. It was a great surprise to meet an old friend from Germany that I hadn't seen for 12 years. The world seems to be really small.

We got a surprise visit from the representative of Bugatti and next week SLI is going to have a discussion with them to integrate our technology into their demo center.

After the exhibition we drove back to Saltzgitter, where we celibrated the end of a successful exhibition.

Today we are heading back to Düsseldorff.

Exhibition day no. 4

We had a busy day today in Hannover. There were a lot of people who were interested in our company and in our products. We made our first contacts with possible distributors from Mexico and from Germany. We also were offered a business trip to South Korea and also to Japan.

There was also a lot of interest today from India and a lot of german university students asked for a job :) .

In the evening we were visited by the Estonian embassidor in Germany who tested our product SLI-De 180. Later we went to a party that was organized by Baden-Würthenberg where they served Estonian beer. We also found a possible partner to develop lcd based touchscreens.

Inconclusion today was another busy day for Surface Labs International.

Exhibition day no. 3

Today it seemed that it was going to be a slow and tireing day. I (Raul) haven't slept for days for some reason and today I felt like I was going to fall asleep in the middle of the exhibition. But then our French contact appeared and took me to to a Meet and Greet Stand where Polytech (a french company) signed a contract with us to become our distributor in France. The contract also was about the development of our technology.  So this made my day! - If I understood everything correctly, then Polytechs first client is Rolex. Now it seems that my next trip will take me to Paris, France. Our neighbours from Payern, had also a party today :)

The meeting with Porsche went also well and I managed to change contacts with Volkswagen as well. I am now looking forward to tomorrow.

Exhibition day no. 2 - "I have no idea what just happened"

.. these are the words to describe what happened today (in a good way ;) ).  Today started with a surprise when a government organization from Huston (USA) offered us a possibility to attend to a special start-up program in Huston, Texas. After that SLI made their first contact with a possible distributor in India. Later today we got visited by a American company who also were interested in becoming our distributors. After that we were visited by Enterprise Europe and one of their customers from France who tanted to sign a partnership deal with SLI. So tomorrow we are going to have a new meeting with them. If everything goes well, we'll have our first distributor in france and in the mediterranean area. So as you can see we were very busy today and actually I was so amazed that the words "I have no idea what just happened" are the best words to describe our emotions :). 

We also had our Estonian night today in our exhibition stand. There were a lot of people there and in the end we met a man who might become our new chief engineer. We will continue our discussions tomorrow with him. He will also introduce us to his network of IT companies. There was also a huge interest towards us from Russia and Belarus.

In conclusion today was one of the best days so far in Hannover and now we are looking forward to tomorrow where we are going to have a meeting with Porsche :)

Exhibition day no. 1

Today we had our fist exhibition day in Hannover. The day started out fine. During the day we had several people visiting our stand. We also had a meeting with Audi and we tryed to change their Audi A3 Concept with our interactive bar..  of course they were not very interested, but they ended up offering us a job :) .

I also met a proffessor who agreed to help us to develop the next generation multi-touch surface. We are wery happy because of that, because we were hoping to find partners from this exhibition.  The professor owns a non profit oranization that developes glasses and windshields for Volkswagen.

In the evening we had a party in the Bayern stand with german schlager music , beer and german food.. SAUERKRAUT! :)

In conclusion, we made a lot of valuable contacts today and now we are looking forward to tomorrow!

First day in Germany

Today we started our trip from Riga. After landing in Düsseldorf, we continued our trip to Hannover with a brand new Ford Fiesta that had driven only 600 km. We had to modify the lights on our stand (in Hannover exhibition) to get the best performance for our SLI-De 180 interactive bar. Everything works perfectly. Tomorrow we are going to have a busy day in Hannover Exhibition.

Since we wanted to see the real life in Germany, we decided to get rooms in a small village 50 kms out from Hannover. We are still amazed by the hospitality here. Free beer, free soup, complimentary salad and tomorrow breakfast is served in our livingroom :). Perfect beginning for our adventures in Germany.

Tomorrow we'll have a meeting with Audi who also are situated in the same hall as we are. Interesting times indeed!

The whole world of technology in one place!

Surface Labs International Ltd (SLI) is heading to Germany to take part in the worlds biggest technology exhibition in Hannover.  The exhibition will take place from the 23rd of April to 27th of April. Surface Labs International Ltd. from Estonia is finally here! We have been working on our new prototype iBar for the last few weeks. Finally it is ready! We will post some more pics soon about where we started our project and how it went. We will also make some big announcements soon! ;)
