There are so many great scenes of Satoru Iwata I could have picked (I almost went with his muppet doppelgänger), but that one time when he stared intensively at bananas is my favorite. I'm going to miss the influence he had on Nintendo and gamers, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who teared up at Nintendo's farewell tribute to him in Star Fox Zero. He had a lot of influence on the #nintendoswitch and I'm glad I get to experience one more of his consoles.

Today is the Regginator, Reggie Fils-Aimé. I've always enjoyed his edgier approach to presentations, and how he genuinely/intensively believes in whatever Nintendo is sharing that day. Also, when I made a bunch of the staff with Miis and had them fight in Smash Bros, he emerged victorious. The man is about kicking ass after all.

With all the buzz about the #nintendoswitch, my next drawing is #Nintendo president, Tatsumi Kimishima. I had a lot of fun drawing this, and that’s probably because of how excited his presentation made me for the #switch ! Honestly though, all of the heads of Nintendo have a lot of character and personality to them, and I’m eager to draw more of the crew.

With all the news about the #nintendoswitch, I thought that I'd draw some of the awesome folks over at #Nintendo, starting with my personal favorite, Gunpei Yokoi. He left the company before the #gameboyadvance came out, but since he was responsible for the original #gameboy I wanted to include a part of his legacy in the picture. There's still an original Game Boy at my folk's house, but I couldn't get it in time. Anyways, he had a philosophy of "Lateral Thinking of Withered Technology", which basically is finding fun, new uses for existing technology; a philosophy still used by Nintendo today. They focus on fun before new technology. Probably the reason why I love the company so much, and why the Game Boy is my favorite gaming device.
