Nothing is more clear in the time of a shut in than how much the chemistry that makes up my body, the 60% of myself filled with water, needs nature to survive.
The relief, the connection felt in the brief hours escaping the room of isolation that my bedroom had become since the start of the pandemic, spent sitting with, sitting in nature.
Sitting with the water, it no longer mattered that no one was there, the chemistry of me knew I was 60% of the vast body of the lake spread before me, and it was 60% of me, a comfort that surprised me.
In this piece I am exploring this feeling of tranquility during such a transitional period we found ourselves living in, living through, the combination and soft collision of two bodies of water
