I'm not sure if this visitor numbers sheet is supposed to be some exquisite corpse thing or just sheer idiocy
Exhibit A
At some point I am going to have to do one mega post of my time in Fermanagh which is just all flowers/clouds and one gigantic pig Also I'm invigilating in a gallery in Enniskillen today (feels good to be back) and under the main desk are loads of broken wi-fi routers while the cupboards are full of empty wine bottles which to me describes the art experience pretty well
WIZARD proudly presents BYOP Please bring your plants to this exhibition. Simply being around plants indoors has been shown to relax people and improve health. Plants are intelligent, creative organisms, just like us. Bring your plant and together we can reflect on and around the pictures and installations, watch a movie, talk and drink refreshments. Group exhibition featuring Kari Altmann, Andreas Ervik, Espen Friberg, Øivin Horvei, Bjørn-Henrik Lybeck, Andreas Meinich, Jasper Spicero and Jessica Williams. The opening is on Friday the 9th of May from 18:00-21:00. The exhibition will run until Sunday the 25th of May. Curated by Andreas Ervik & Øivin Horvei Facebook event
A walk down to Lough Coole (taken from my instagram, for shame)
It's a bit silly that this tumblr is mainly about plants and yet since I moved to a National Trust parkland I haven't posted a thing...
Turns out there's an incredible range of 60s/70s music made for plants. This is Silver Queen by Baroque Bouquet from the album Plant Music. This album doesn't have Dr Milstein's handy high pitched noises though, so I reckon this was made more for general plant entertainment rather than a growing aid.
Music to Grow Plants Presented by Dr. George Milstein
"As a result of present study, we were able to produce a sound which acts upon plant growth patterns. These sounds have been electronically embedded in this record. Every effort has been made to camouflage them, however, you may at times hear certain high frequency tones that could not be hidden completely. For best results this record should be played daily. The music which has been systematically selected and prepared is also most enjoyable for listening. Your plants and hopefully you will be brightened by the sounds of this album. (PATENT PENDING)"
Irrespective of it's potential plant-growing properties, this album is well worth a listen simply for it's swingin' tunes!
remember the website where they didn't properly format the html so the text just kept getting bigger
