Hello, your blog is really wonderful and helpful, I've been really anxious and losing sleep these past few months. If I may ask, is anismus psychological? Could it be that what I'm feeling (tight rectum, pelvic pain, anal pressure) is just constipation? I've been reading on Google but their answers are generalized so it's hard to trust. And thank you.

I am not well versed in anismus, but it could be psychological. I have now been diagnosed with severe nerve sensitivity due to a REAL issue of cramps, which made me tense my pelvic floor and then strangle my nerves. Because I was undiagnosed and they never correctly fixed my initial problem, I now am in most of the time constant pain.

Some of the worst nerve sensitivity my obgyn and pelvic floor physio have ever seen!

Thanks to all those doctors who told me I had anxiety and my pelvic pain was not real!
