okay so nora ephron. wrote rom-coms like when harry met sally and sleepless in seattle. imagine she comes back now and releases a new, fun rom-com hitting all of the tropes she helped established. and then halfway through the movie a side character dies and from that point onward it becomes a severely different genre like psychological horror and it ends with the main couple doing a murder suicide or something equally fucked up. that is essentially what shakespeare did with romeo and juliet
