A 90ā²s show called āFlipping Da Script,ā hosted by my dad, Mr.Cee (The Hooded One). In 1996, Mr.Cee interviewed Jay-Z at the University of Delaware. During the time, Jay-Z released his first album Reasonable Doubt. Mr.Cee discusses Jay-Zās album and his label Roc-A-Fella Records.Ā
āFlipping The Scriptā
āFlipping The Scriptā was a live show in the 90ā²s. The show aired in many locations such as, the Tri-State area, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Chicago on basic television. There were two host of the show, Mr.Cee (The Hooded One) and Snook. Many artists were interviewed who are now viewed as legends in the music industry. Some legends who were interviewed include Usher, Wu-Tang Clan and Jay-Z. The show aired for three straight years and then hosts of the show went to the underground hip-hop scene.Ā

RIP SANDRA BLAND. A View From Black Media.
This isnāt the first time a black individual died in police custody. This isnāt the first time media flipped the actual story to make it seem like a black life was lost to suicide rather than homicide.
Sandra Bland was a 28 year-old, Chicago native. She graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 2009 with a degree in agriculture. Also, she received a new job at Prairie View A&M in the Agricultural department. Bland was a vocal Civil Rights advocate on social media. She was very passionate about the police brutality that continues to take place. She made videos addressing #BlackLivesMatter and posted pictures of the black lives that died because of racial discrimination.
Bland was stopped on July 10th for failure to signal a lane change. Then three days later she was found dead in her cell at Waller County Jail in Houston, Texas.
The video that was released of the encounter with Sandra Bland and state trooper, Brian Encinia gave no clear reason as to why she was being arrested.
Once, Encinia asked Bland āDo you mind putting out your cigarette?ā Bland responds, āIām in my car. Why do I have to put out my cigarette?ā The situation from there escalated. Sandra Bland knew her rights, which she expressed to the state trooper.
Encinia asked Sandra Bland numerous times to get out the car, which she was confused as to why she needed to get out of her car. Encinia opened her door and Bland expressed to him, āNo, you donāt have the right to do that.ā Encinia responds, āI do have the right, now step out or I will remove you!ā Sandra Bland told state trooper she would call her lawyer. Encinia, ignored her. He continued to tell her to get out the car and added, āStep out the car or I will yank you!ā As he said that, he reaches to yank her out the car.
Sandra Bland continued to tell state trooper not to touch her and she wasnāt under arrest. Encinia told her she was under arrest, but never stated specific reasons.
As Sandra Bland was standing in handcuffs, state trooper told her at first she was getting a warning, but now she was going to jail. Sandra Bland yells, āFor What?ā Encinia tells Sandra Bland, āThis right here says a warning, but you created the problem!ā Sandra Bland responds, āYou asked me whatās wrong!ā
Sandra Bland began to carry on expressing her anger and confusion. As Sandra Bland was getting frisked she cried, āYouāre about to break my wrist! Stop!ā Encinia yells,āStop moving! Stop Now! If you would stop I would tell you! When you pull away youāre resisting arrest.ā Sandra Bland responds, āI know that makes you feel real good. Youāre a real man now. Slammed me and knocked my head on the ground. I got epilepsy!ā Encinia responds, āGood.ā
State trooper finally tells her after she already was arrested, after she was frisked, after she was slammed on the ground as to why she was being arrested. He States, āYouāre going to jail for resisting arrest.ā
Sandra Bland was found three days later in her cell dead, which caused a lot of speculation. Media states, Sandra Bland died from committing suicide, she had marijuana in her system and she was depressed.
Many question the mugshot taken in an orange jump suit, why she was in jail for three days, and how she committed suicide with a trash bag.
From watching the video of Sandra Bland and Brian Encinia, one would assume that Sandra Bland knew she would win the case. However, it seems like the state troopers had other motives for Sandra Bland. Clearly, you can see this is repetitive situation. Different gender, same race.
