The character “Ernesto de la Cruz” is inspired by Mexicans singers/actors Pedro Infante and Jorge Negrete, who also made a brief cameo in de la Cruz’s party. The film features a variety of animated caricatures or cameo appearances of legendary Mexican celebrities, paying homage to them. Among the many deceased Mexican celebrities who are featured in the film include: Santo, a wrestler; movie actor Cantinflas; painter Frida Kahlo; Emiliano Zapata, one of the revolutionary leaders during the Mexican Revolution; and actress María Félix. Director Lee Unkrich has stated that besides these celebrities, there are more hidden in the film.

Uhhh… -The one credited as Pedro Infante in here is Ernesto. Pedro is behind La Doña and Cantinflas (He is actually pointed out in another part of this scene, wearing his Pepe el Toro outfit)

Pixar played it safe (And wisely so) by pointing him out as someone different than Ernesto for a reason. He might have been a shitty husband but he was a decent person and a sincere artist. If anything, he’s like Hector, so please don’t put him on the same league as trashbag bell pancake aka Ernesto de la Cruz.

-I don’t know what Zapata would be doing in a party from a movie star. He was a rowdy, bitter ranch guy who wasn’t really into the big scene that politics involved, I can’t really see him coming to something as showy (And even a bit on the bad taste side) as Ernesto’s party. I think that’s supposed to be Antonio Aguilar with his wife, Flor Silvestre, which in any case makes more sense since Zapata’s wife lived and died in small town of Cuautla, Morelos, away from the limelight. Granted, he seems to have had a lot of lovers, but taking them to a party would have been unacceptable for the kind of ethic he had (I might be wrong on this one, the expert in Cine de Oro actor and actresses was my grandma and she’s not around so I can’t consult her anymore)

-I can’t really see the man on the suit next to Miguel that well but I think that’s Agustín Lara. Which would make sense since María Felix is there.

-I’ve found this image in like five different entertainment news sites. Make what you will of that info.

Hot Tea Legacy 🍵

This is a legacy challenge I created to add some more drama and spice to my game while enjoying the many packs and features it has to offer (that I often forget exist)! Feel free to use mods/cc in your games or play completely vanilla. It’s all up to you! In some generations, I will add some mod suggestions that I think would add to the overall experience of that gen, but it is NOT a must! Feel free to alter certain goals to suit your play style as I want you guys to enjoy the legacy and have fun! I hope you guys are ready for some drama & hot tea! 🍵

This legacy is pack heavy (I couldn’t help myself 😭) so feel free to swap out traits, aspirations and goals to something you can do with the packs you own. Some generations are more wholesome than others. Some are filled with drama! If you want to check things off your list, make a copy of the rules to keep for yourself, then you should be able to edit it! Oh and I want to see your sims!!
