Here’s a decluttering/donating tip I just heard: go through your holiday ornaments and donate what you don’t want/need NOW because people will be looking for things now. They won’t want them in January. Donate them now when they’re needed.

Same with holiday clothing and toys! If you get a new holiday sweater every year, donate your old ones now. If your kids are lucky enough to need to do a toy clean out after christmas, do it before Thanksgiving. Give resale and thrift stores the time they need to sort through donations and get them on the shelves before christmas.

For context, this is called desensitizing

Since horses are prey animals they are very cautious naturally and will “spook” (shy away or take off running) from something that looks strange and potentially dangerous.

By running around and acting bizarre, the horse gets used to unfamiliar movements and mannerisms. They’ll be able to sit and think “wow that’s fucking weird” when they see a human crawling up rather than “Jesus fuck it’s possessed run away”- which is good!
