Okay, lately it’s just unavoidable—I always end up drawing these two 🙈🤣❤️ This time, the drawing is dedicated to the fanfiction *Shifting in the Sand* on AO3. I honestly don’t know who wrote it because it says it’s an orphan account, so if anyone knows, please let me know ✨️❤️

“Do you think you’ve learnt your lesson?” Malfoy whispers.

Harry nods. He’s on his knees. He can’t see Malfoy. The Slytherin tie blinds him.

“Can’t hear you,” Malfoy presses.

“Yes,” Harry says out loud.

“Yes?”

“Sir. Yes, Sir.”

“Good boy, Potter,” Malfoy murmurs, pressing his lips delicately to Harry’s temple.

This… thing. This… fucking, to be so crass, started in the bathroom. Sixth Year. Harry followed Malfoy to find out, for once, what he was up to. He didn’t know what he expected that afternoon, but it wasn’t being pressed against cold tiles, brought to the edge and introduced to God.

He didn’t even know if God existed.

Now they’re on a first-name basis.

“Are you going to tell me why you broke the rule?” Malfoy asks.

Harry feels Malfoy shift behind him. He’s pushed forward, and Harry goes willingly—to his hands and knees. Malfoy’s hand settles at the small of his back. Soft.

“Hmm… Potter?” Malfoy murmurs. “Why did you think it was acceptable to touch me the way you did earlier?”

All Harry did was pull a loose thread from Malfoy’s robe. Casual. Nothing at all. But Malfoy is relentless about secrecy. He has strict rules for outside the bedroom.

Inside, too—but Harry isn’t complaining about those rules.

“Because—” Harry starts, then stops at the familiar sting. “Fuck!”

“Because fuck?” Another slap.

“Because—” Another. “God, Malfoy!”

“Because God Malfoy?”

Harry almost laughs at how unhinged this feels.

Malfoy deflected that same night after the bathroom. Told Harry—and then Dumbledore—everything. It was Theo who finished the work. It was Theo who let the Death Eaters into the castle. Dumbledore still died.

How he and Malfoy defeated Voldemort when they spent half the following year on the run fucking, Harry doesn’t know. But they did.

And now it’s its eighth year, and the fears of “No Tomorrows” don’t exist. For the first time in a long time, Harry is thinking about the future, and he likes the idea of Malfoy being in it.

Properly.

Not sneaking into the Room of Requirement to shag and then returning to separate beds. He wants Malfoy beside him when he wakes up.

Harry is hauled upright by a firm hand at his shoulder, his back pressed flush to Malfoy’s chest.

“People will find out about us if you can’t control yourself,” Malfoy says, sharp and tense—threaded through with something softer.

Then Malfoy’s hand wraps around him in that precise way Harry likes. Firm. Intentional.

“Fuck, Malfoy,” Harry gasps, tipping his head back.

“Why, Potter?” Malfoy asks. “Do you want people to know?”

Harry can’t think. Can’t see. There’s only Malfoy.

“The rules are there to protect you,” Malfoy hisses, mouth at Harry’s neck.

“Fuck—fuck—fuck the rules,” Harry manages, voice breaking.

Malfoy stills. He doesn’t pull away. It’s the worst possible moment for a conversation—and yet.

“Fuck the rules?” Malfoy whispers.

Harry nods. “I hate them. Hate the rules. Outside, anyway.”

“Outside?”

“Inside is fine—great.” Harry swallows. “Outside, I want you to be my boyfriend.”

He braces himself for the inevitable comment. The wit. The deflection.

It doesn’t come.

The tie is removed. Harry blinks, eyes adjusting, and turns to look at Malfoy.

His expression is soft.

“The rules are for you,” Malfoy whispers. “I made them for you.”

Harry wants to say something gentle. Something reassuring. Something that tells Malfoy he doesn’t need them. Instead, kneeling there and overwhelmed, he does the only thing he can. He shifts his hips.

“Fuck the rules,” Harry says. “Be my boyfriend.”

Harry only knows it’s a yes because Malfoy takes him to see God again.

hellooo! so there’s this ao3 ff I stumbled on called “16 days under the influence” by HPFanfics_Drarry. it only has 9 chapters out of 44, and I finished those and then went off trying to find more drarry stuff.

but WAIT..a few months later I’m on wattpad and I stumble on the same ff with the same title and author, and I didn’t even realize it at first until it felt familiar 😭 then I realized it had more chapters on wattpad, like 45 instead of 44.

I js stayed up late until morning and just finished it and omgosh it’s the perfect top Draco / bottom Harry!! personally I would’ve liked Harry just a little more of a power bottom, but it was still delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend it!!! would love to hear your thoughts if you read this too!!🤍(just had to share)

Why does seeing bottom draco content feel so offensive?

Like I'm well aware that people can ship things differently and most of the time when I see something I don't agree with or don't like I just ignore and go about my day, but for Draco Malfoy I feel deeply offended, mostly on his part but partly on mine too because there are so few people who agree with me, but like, why does it offend me so much? I just feel like it's a big mischaracterization (which would be fine by itself even if it is, but it feels just so other worldly to me when it's with Draco and it's about whether he's submissive or not)... Idk maybe it's because he's been used and tossed around by dark forces almost all his life and I just want him to have more, if not all the control he can have, but even then, your role in the bed doesn't translate to how much control you have in your life, but it just feels so selfish of people to toss Harry with his "rough hands" (idk if he canonically has rough hands but I just hate the description, top Harry doesn't offend me as much, I can imagine him being dominant with women, but I still don't really like it especially if it's with Draco. The selfish part also applies to Harry but I know it's not the character's fault when fanfic writers write them in a way that doesn't appeal to me) on him and make him endure even more control over him and now even over his body (I haven't read the books yet, idk if he goes though physical trauma but if he does my opinion gets even stronger), and it all just feels... Evil... Idk why... And even if he likes it, that just doesn't feel right to me.

Bottom Draco Malfoy is not the Draco Malfoy from the story I love, at least to me... I'm not saying you should stop thinking and portraying him as one (even though I would love that), because I know how much something like this can matter to someone, again, it matters to me so much I'm writing this post. I'm just saying this so that if there's anyone else out there who feels similar or the same, please say something, I have no idea why it hurts me so much whenever I see or read about Draco getting railed but it does... I genuinely think we need a proper tag that we can signal things like this with so that the other one can be blocked, because people who think Harry is on top don't use "harry tops draco" like we use "draco tops harry" because they don't have to, that's the default mindset for some goddamn reason... Idk, I just wanted to say this because I keep blocking perfectly innocent people just because of this, even people whose arstyle I adore, but unfortunately what they draw just infuriates me and it's not their fault...

Totally off topic, but here’s my opinion on Drarry: I need Draco to be the top/dominate partner in their relationship. it’s just the way my brain works. Draco just feels like the dominant one to me. He’s confident, sassy, bold, and always acts like he knows exactly what he’s doing. Meanwhile, Harry? Yeah, he’s the bottom, but like… a power bottom. He’s still sassy, confident, snarky- he can dish it right back when needed. I love that dynamic. GIVE ME MORE TOP DRACO ON AO3 PLEASE, I’M STARVING.
