Commitment and D/s dynamics

Everyone always talks about how important trust is in a D/s dynamic, and it is SO important. But a big perk I have noticed is the every day reminders of commitment. Sure my husband and I have had wedding vows and wedding bands to remind us of our commitment pre-D/s. But following the rules and protocol my Dominant has set in place is not only a very tangible and consistent reminder of his control, but of my commitment to him. When I am saying “yes sir,” making his coffee, or servicing him in any way, it makes any small matter of frustration or bone I had to pick with him, feel so insignificant. These rules and protocols chip away at any chip I try to carry on my shoulder because I am reminded of how important he is to me as I do them.

The daily care my Dominant puts into ensuring I am meeting my goals and that I have the structure I need to feel at peace is a reminder of his commitment to me. I think this is one of the best feelings to come from a D/s dynamic. :)
