My mom does this and my dad always watches her. She thinks he’s not paying attention, but last year he remembered the ones she liked and used that knowledge to get her a custom scented candle for their anniversary. He had it named “Target Sniffs”.

When it seems like we’ve been here countless times before. We’ve fought the battle. We’ve shown that we can be different. That we’ve stared our traumas down and said not today. We’ve won and we’ve lost and we’re just tired of being faced with the same burden over and over. This was yesterday. An all round rough day. I did everything I could to shake myself out of it. Woke up, praised, listen to a sermon.Went outside. Got food with a friend. Came back listened to music, prayed and still I felt I was one step away from breaking down. It’s not the first time but I’ve been here before many times and this was the verse I had to claim. The sermon i listened to was by pastor Steven furtick and he said we don’t have to fight these battles but we have to face them. No more running from them. No more temporary escapes. We remind God (and in return ourselves) of the times he’s pulled us out of these situations before. Not because he needs reminding but because it strengthens our faith. With this we stand facing every fight like John snow in the battle of the bastards and let God do his work.
