Alice as a horse!

In the time frame that this au(?) takes place, Alice is three months old at the time of her rescue. Her and her dam were dumped at auction, and due to the stress involved, her dam abandoned her. Fortunately, another mare in the pens with them latched onto Alice and bonded to her.

The two of them bonded to a gelding, and the three of them made a strange little family unit. After they were rescued, the three of them remained together during their quarantine and subsequent turnout as Kara had adopted Alice and separating them would be detrimental to both of them. Alice does require supplementation of milk pellets, as she is too young to be weaned. This leads her to have a grass-bellied look for a long time.

She is very skittish around new horses due to her dam attacking her in the pens. She's better with people, but she's not an openly curious baby, tending to stay close to her mom.

As an adult, Alice is a steady, but cautious ride. She performs well in the local gaited show ring, but thrives out on the trails. The stress of the show ring is not something she enjoys.

Fun fact! The coat that a foal is born with is often not their final color! The foal coat will start to shed after around 3-4 months to reveal their actual color. And, bays and buckskins are born without their black points!
