Thinking about Dana’s girls visiting unprompted and finding a young girl in Dana’s apartment, assuming the most SFW thing they genuinely believe it’s a rescue Dana has taken in from the hospital.

Dana comes out of the bedroom to find her girls chatting to Emma who doesn’t really know what she is supposed to say/do and is panicking.

Dana does the thing and introduces Emma as her girlfriend much to the girls dismay and utter disappointment in their mother.

They ignore their mother for days before realising they love their mother more than whatever this Emma thing is and begrudgingly accept the relationship.

(Especially when they realise Emma isn’t going anywhere)

My Benji headcannon is that he is absolutely disgusted by Dana and Emma at first. Wdym ur ex wife is dating a 20 something.

Eventually he gets to know Emma and starts to like her but still thinks the age gap is wrong and can’t help but point it out whenever him and Dana have to interact.

Sooner or later he realises Emma is staying and for the sake of the kids and having a decent relationship with his ex wife he accepts it.

Dana comes into the pitt and is immediately interrogated by princess and perlah “what are those marks all over your neck Dana” “looks like someone attacked you”

Dana angrily points at Emma and tells them it was her. Princess and Perlah are in disbelief that little lamb Emma could be that rough but Dana has the marks to prove it.

Dana gets revenge the next night and Emma comes into the pitt the next day covered in marks and bruises.

Emma getting absolutely wasted at the bar so trinity decides to call Dana to come get her.

Dana heads over to pick Emma up and drunk Emma immediately starts doing things that will probably get them in trouble.

Victoria, Dennis and trinity watch in horror as Dana tries to stop Emma from embarrassing herself even more. “Mommy this” “mommy that”

The next day at work Emma and Dana have to deal with trinity walking past going “oh mommy can you” “mommyyy”

Dana and Emma have been really good at keeping their relationship a secret, they have been dating for a year without anyone knowing.

That’s until a patients dad gets frustrated with how Emma is talking to the young boy and punches Emma in the face, Emma immediately crumbles and joy who witnesses the entire thing immediately screams for help.

Dana rushes in to find her little lamb on the floor, blood rushing out of her nose.

Without thinking Dana picks Emma up, gets her to the nurses station for a check up and in front of everyone, kisses Emma to calm her down, everyone is shocked and doesn’t really know what to say/do.

I would like to imagine poor Robby faints.

They don't know they are dating and are very confused when Emma stands on her tippy toes, kisses Dana and grabs Dana’s bank card to buy herself a drink.

They immediately leave and find another spot as they don't want to cause drama and need a place to discuss what they just saw.

Getting all the best cases as she literally just follows Dana everywhere and helps with whatever Dana needs.

Being Dana’s personal assistant.

Giving Dana neck massages during stressful shifts.

Dana getting kisses whenever she runs past Emma to help self regulate the both of them.

Eileen sucking it up and inviting Cassie over for dinner to get to know her daughters girlfriend so she doesn’t loose Victoria completely.

It’s all going well and Eileen is actually enjoying Cassie’s company when Victoria makes the mistake of saying “hey daddy can you” and both Raymond and Cassie turn to look at Victoria at the same time.

Now Eileen is absolutely crashing out while Raymond is completely oblivious as to what’s going on and needs this whole “daddy” thing explained.

Poor Victoria and Cassie are trying to save the situation and end up just awkwardly leaving…

My favourite fanfiction trope is the parents find out about the relationship.

Imagine if Victoria’s mother gets home early to find Victoria and Cassie in vics bed fucking poor Eileen almost faints.

Emma’s parents coming up to Pittsburgh to see Emma and use life360 to locate her, they find Emma at the mall with this older woman and are absolutely baffled when this older woman kisses Emma and tells her what a cute little lamb she is. 

Neither parent knows what to do.

Please if you write fanfic write more stuff like this, it’s genuinely such a funny trope.

The day shift are shocked when Dana kisses her, thanks her little lamb for getting her coffee and then heads off to deal with patients.

Emma is smitten and can’t stop grinning all day.

Benji is clueless and they plan an intervention to question Dana who then has to admit that she is dating someone younger than her daughters.

Dana’s daughters are disgusted but also amazed that their mother is still able to get a date at her age.

Instead of being mad they just spend the entire shift talking about it in tagalong while poor Dana has no clue why they keep on staring at her and laughing.

Cassie is a mommy/daddy. Depends on her mood and what Victoria needs in that moment.

Dana is a mama/mommy. No ounce of daddy in her whatsoever. Emma loves her mommy/mama

Baran is mostly a mommy but occasionally a daddy. She just knows that Trinity needs a mommy most of the time so runs with it to keep her girl happy.

Garcia is a daddy and loves being trinity’s daddy. No ounce of mommy in this woman.
