some very miscellaneous notes:

I don't have particular notes about Vina other than I'm very happy with the top left face/hair, & the bottom left part 2 version....takes her face in my hands. my babygirl.

Simran took a bit more to figure out her face and also both versions hence the two pages... I imagine her more different than the two Vinas.

I get to a certain extent with historically-accurate fashion research then just end up going by vibes, this is definitely intentionally reflecting the canon mix of time periods. (if I were thinking harder I'd probably more distinctly choose different fashions for each part, but I'm lazy)

Her part 2 clothes are not super described other than the ball dress (which is definitely a different style to what I drew here lol), and otherwise generally similar to the librarians - I imagined her mostly in plain/dark/simple high necked dresses.

I went to start drawing Maleficium and had a moment where I was like, wait, what colour cat is she?????? Went back through the whole thing (arc version) and I don't think she's described at all. But I'm assuming black since yaknow, witch, and also I'm a black cat person.

I think the lantern birds are more papery-bird shaped creatures than folding up into a lantern shape like that, but that's just an image i had in my head, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And it's not really obvious here but I am in fact applying the 'moles are kisses from another lifetime' idea. my part 2 designs have a few extra moles. (tho tbh could be more)
