"What do I wanna play? Hmm…" His hand was taken by the little girl, and with the other one, he scratched his head and suddenly remembered times where he’d play hide-and-seek with Leia inside his parents’ clinic when they were little. Maybe they could play that?

He glanced at the girl. “My name is Jude, it’s nice to meet you, Efina!” He gave a smile to her. A small girl…He wondered if she was lost, or if maybe her parents went somewhere and told her to wait here? Well…it was necessary to know, honestly. Jude didn’t want himself, a boy who is 15 years old, to be accused from kidnapping a little girl. If that happened…oh boy.

"I have a suggestion! But first.." A pause. ".Where are your parents? Is it okay for you to wander off in the city all alone?"

ღ "My parents?" Efina tilted her head just a bit. Oh! Of course he means her new papas! She was still trying to get used to that. "Uh.... New papa went some where and other papa is at home."

That probably didn't really tell Jude that it meant she didn't even tell either adult that she was going out. But to her it didn't seem like such a big deal. At least, not yet anyway. Hakutaku doesn't really say anything when she leaves, so it never seemed like she was doing anything wrong. With Mejojo though... Well, he kept her in his sight playing with mices... While they were nice, it was a lot better to talk to people who could, well, actually speak.

"Other papa is perfectly fine with it, Mr. Jude!" She smiled. "Mr. Mouse will tell new papa so it's alright!  So can we play now??"

Jude didn’t really remember what was the feeling of being bored. The business was absorbing him and things had to be done, and when he had free time, many things could be done, too, but….until he finds something to do, it’s boredom. Not that it would take too long for Jude to get interested into something- he hadn’t ‘explored’ all the city, and that could be a chance. He also could meet new people! Being in a big city all alone would feel sad, wouldn’t it?

Just by thinking in meeting new people, while he was walking, a childish voice gets his attention, and he turns his face from where it comes from. A little girl, asking Jude to play with her, in all of sudden…Hm, she seems to be only a child, so why not?

"Um…Okay, sure?" Jude smiled at her, innocently.

ღ A tight squeeze was given to the squirming lie that tried to escape her grasp. There was the feeling of excitement that made her bounce and smile at the male. A playmate, that was all she wanted and that's what she was getting. Finally! Someone who was nice to her.

"What do you wanna play, Mister?"

Efina stood closer to him, holding the stranger's hand while ignoring the squirming mess in her other hand. She couldn't help but smile at him. A new friends at last! For the past few days she's just been at home playing with the mice that seemed to follow her new papa around. While they were nice, it wasn't exactly the same as having someone who could actually talk to her.

"I'm Efina! What's your name, Mister??"

     There’s a noise that catches his attention; no, it really doesn’t, but even he won’t fail to notice a brightly colored ball landing in a nearby tree but not falling back out, accompanied by a small, blonde girl, who stops in her tracks and stares at it like prey, although a bit crestfallenly — the reason is left unstated, but assumed.

     "Hey." He calls out to her; his voice cuts through the afternoon breeze, his feet coming to a halt several steps away from her. He takes in the predicament in the span of a second; after all, it can only mean one thing. Resting his hands in his pockets, he tips his head up, glancing at the stuck ball. "Either you get it out yourself, or you find someone that can climb. Looks like today’s your lucky day, kid."

     He jerks his chin towards the object, not wanting to get ahead of himself. "That’s yours, right? I’ve got time to kill, so I’ll get it down for you, if you want.”

ღ One more time! Just one more time! But... BAM!! Alas, she was just short of reaching her ball. Well, actually she was just too short to even reach it. At this point, it felt like she was never going to get the toy back. It was lucky for her that someone just happened to come by.

Efina's face lit up once again. A giant suddely appears before her! —Well, at least in her eyes he was a giant— Of course she had to run up to him and ask him for his help! It was the only solution at this point. Who else could possibly reach for her ball?

"Can you get my ball for me?!"

She tugged a bit at his pants, hoping that he would say "yes" to her. But pointing that all aside for just a moment, she was amazed by how tall this man was. He was twice her height! Possibly even more than just that! That was so cool! "Mister, you're really big!" She exclaimed, trying her best to meet eyes with the raven haired man. "That's so cool!"

Family Bonding || Efina + Mejojo + Hakutaku

Though, spending his time at the bank as the CEO got him rather far, his talents and even his blood line was looked at which gave him the job. More so, he seemed more competent than every other idiot tried to take the spot. Mejojo knew how grand he was, even by the looks and the way he acted showed such regal display. The way his cape hung on his shoulders and a smile was finally placed on his features, feeling a bit grand from today’s work. Now, having walked into the apartment he was to share with two others, now, when he came back home from his business, he didn’t expect to see what was running around the house as gloved hands pushed the door open.

"—-!?" Well. What a sight to see when coming home. Seeing that she was running towards his direction, the feline’s ears went straight up and even his tail was bothered, quickly moving from left to right. "What is this nonsense?!” Question asked as his hand reached down to grab the female by the collar of her shirt, claws digging into the fabric as he analyzed the crimson underwear donned upon her head.

"What.." Oh, the colors of those and even how they looked were so familiar that it brought a pain to his stomach. Looking both left and right, wondering if Hakutaku had allowed this child to run around in such a matter was beyond him. Raising her up so that they met eye to eye, he was a feline, a bit more different than humans so how he acted would always be seen as something animalistic, eyes forming into a slit because of his irritation.

"Do I dare ask what it is that you’re doing, I do hope you have an explanation for this.” Though, he was a tad taken aback from the fact she was wearing HIS underwear and this even brought his mouth to close from being agape at the moment he was struck into disbelief.

A spouse was one thing, but a child was a complete other. Hakutaku was fully aware right off the bat that his dear husband probably wouldn’t be taking much care of her, so it was up to him. He typically worked from home anyway, so in the beginning, it wasn’t much of a problem, but… the difference from when he worked in Heaven and while he worked here, in this place, was the fact that here, he had to work alone. 

Don’t get him wrong— if he didn’t have to work alone, he wouldn’t, but he was used to one assistant and then a bunch of rabbits— educated rabbits, you see. Educated rabbits that knew how to mix and grind medical ingredients as well as he did. Even though he had been interested in obtaining pet rabbits here as well, they just… weren’t.. well, they weren’t up to the task, at all. The ones he had already obtained just sat there around him while he worked, not helping at all.

So it was safe to say that Hakutaku had his hands full with his work and watching a child. He figured it’d be fine to let her run around for a bit since she couldn’t get into too much trouble, right? Upon hearing the voice of Mejojo addressing her, he put down the bowl he had been working with and headed towards the direction of said voice.

"You’re home— oh.”

Oh. Was that… underwear on her head? Seriously? Hakutaku hadn’t been around to watch her do that, but now that he saw it, he couldn’t help but to laugh as he wandered over to grab Efina for himself and away from that… person. He was a bit too rough with her for Hakutaku’s tastes, even though he wasn’t particularly a good person himself. Setting her back on her feet, he covered his mouth to stifle his laughter.

"Those are certainly something… Anyway, it’s your fault for leaving them somewhere so easy to find.”

ღ "Hello Pap-" She stopped immediately after being lifted off the floor. Looking up at Mejojo's face, she couldn't help but notice that he was not happy. Did something happen? Did someone take his sweets or something? Because if that was the case she could understand. It always sucks when people take away your sweet!

It took her a moment, but eventually, it hit her. It was probably because of the panties. Oh! That definitely made more sense! They were probably Mejojo's weren't they?

"I found your panties, papa!"

Surely, her new papa would find that funny, right? Nope. that wasn't the case. If only she could understand the danger she was in, but, alas, she stood... err... hung there with a smile on her face and her feet dangling in the air. If Hakutaku didn't come by and saved her, who knows what would have happened.

"Why do you wear panties, papa??"  She tilted her head, honestly really curious about it. "I thought only girls wear them!"

ღ All drawers where wide open. All clothes were spread all over the floor. Nothing was interesting enough to her. T-shirts, pants, socks, panties... Wait... Was she seeing right?

"Oh!" She began to stretch out the underwear. "Papa has panties!"

Who would have thought that one of her new papas wore panties? Well, to be more accurate, they were most likely briefs, but she didn't know any better. Efina just continued to tug on the underpants, stretching them out as far as she could. This was so far the most interesting thing she's ever seen in her new home. It's just that she always thought only girls wore panties (once again she was wrong), so why would papa have one

A bit more stretches here and there. She was definitely having TOO much fun with what she was doing. So much that she even began to play with it. Throwing it around, running around with it... Hell, she even wore it like a hat! And she didn't even bother taking it off! To her it looked so funny she just had to throw everyone, which is why she ran straight for the door!

Just his luck. On the upside, the kid wasn’t in any serious trouble when Mello approached her. In fact, he could say she was too excited upon seeing a stranger. He fought a smile, considering how to answer her question.

The downside of the situation was that he couldn’t decide what to say to her. And damn, before he realized it, his hand was reaching for the paper to read. "Apartment—hey, don’t just show people your address!” His eyebrows pinched together and made a nice addition to the frown on his face.

Sighing, Mello agreed to her request. “Don’t wander off and I’ll help. It’s not far from my apartment so just follow.”

ღ She tilted her head like some confused little puppy. Why did this man look so mad? All she was doing was showing him the paper. Honestly, she didn't think there was anything wrong with what she doing, but, that was alright. The man offered to take her home!

"Thanks a lot, Mister!"

It was just an instinct she had, standing close to the man as he showed her the way to the apartments. Now she got to go home! "Hey, Mister??" He began to tug on the others clothes. "What's your name? Mine's Efina!"

ღ A little girl standing alone in the corner with pouty expression and chewing on what appeared to be a... stuffed toy? Who knew, honestly? All that anyone could tell was that the little girl didn't look happy.

 Why does everyone have to be busy?

All the same people who ignored her. It had been like that for at least an hour now. All the same excuses. "I'm too busy" or "Go away!" Was she being a bother? She just wanted someone to play with while her parents were away. Oh! And by the looks of it, it seems that someone new had strolled by. A teenage boy with black hair and a sweet face. No way he'd reject an adorable little girl such as herself.

"Excuse me, Mister! Can we play??"

The street lamps began to shine and illuminate the path he was on, not that it made a difference to the blond. With his fair share of experience in the mafia, he knew how to handle himself (and his gun) in a crisis. Children, on the other hand, did not do as well in the face of danger.

Okay, it was true; Mello did have a soft spot for kids. It was troubling though, to think of the injustices that occurred in the city. He decided to approach the young girl who stood alone and hoped that a stern warning would convince her to find her way home.

"Hey, kid! What are you doing out so late? It’s nearly midnight."

ღ A look to the left, another to the right. Everything still looked the same to her! The paper in her hand didn't really help... She saw the numbers (though she was still learning how to read), but nothing looked remotely close to writing.

Suddenly, there was a voice who called her. Of course, she jumped and turned around, but, to finally see someone outside it made her happy. The small girl ran up to the blond showing him the paper in her hands. Maybe now someone could show her where she was going.

"I'm looking for my new home! Do you know it is?"

ღ A little girl walking around the city by herself without a care in the world. Once again, Mejojo and Hakutaku didn't know... Well, Efina would go home eventually.

Today's mission was, as usual, to play! She even brought a ball that she found at home along with her. But... Everyone around her seemed so busy. To think that there was no one in the city to play with. All she could do was go to the corner and bounce her ball against the wall.

She pouted, thinking about how mean it was that no one could play with her. Even for a few minutes would have been fine. Oh, it made her mad! So mad that, without even noticing it herself, the child ended up bouncing the ball high enough that it got stuck some where she couldn't reach.

"Uwah!!" Attempt after attempt. She tried to climb up for her ball, only to fail and fall flat on her butt. "What do I do...?"

ღ Humming random melodies she heard from other people around town, it was finally time for her to go out and play! Whether her new papas knew that she left or not on the on the other hand... Well, they had to learn she was a bit of a handful.

So many people around her, but everyone kept shooting her down. What a shame... All she wanted was to play, why was everyone shunning her? That was so mean. It made her want to cry, but, she heard a beautiful song being sung. Out of curiosity, she ran around to find it. Where did it come from? Who was singing it? She could probably ask this person to play with her.

Efina ran around the corner, the singing finally stopped. All that was there was a beautiful lady with long rose colored hair. "Was that you, Miss?" She asked. "It sounded really pretty!"

ღ A late arrival. Bright lights shining over the darkened streets. Buildings towering over the small girl as she walked around trying to find her new home.

"Which way do I go now??"

It felt as though she had been walking for hours. Exhausted and hungry, she couldn't wait to get to her new home. But... Where was is it? It felt like everything looked the same to her. A giant city she was not familiar with looking for parents she's never met before. It made her worry. Was she lost? Hopefully not. Such a small girl lost in the city, she had to be careful.
