I’m coming at this late but, I too feel this is a big fuck you to fans of these two women’s relationship alone and beyond love interests. They have narrative ties to each other via so much (magic, Henry, abuse, abandonment, anger, redemption, losing love, Snow and more) and they are wasting this moment as a climatic resolution for these women, and it’s about celebrating Emma’s “endgame” tie to Hook, an abusively toxic character.

The hug is about CS. It’s about celebrating CS. The fact that this show seemingly can’t have moments with these two women beyond their relationships to men at the end of this story is pathetic. What a mockery of how this show started.

The nohomo of this moment is glaring and I completely understand the upset because there’s no other way to look at this moment other than the homophobic barrier it is keeping out anyone who hoped for SwanQueen.

And anyone defending this and saying as it is right now, that this hug is not promoting the toxicity that is CS is full of shit.

Ugh. the last thing I want to see right now is people making it seem like this fucking hug wasn’t disrespectful and awful.

Yes, I understand it might have been in character and it makes sense they hugged. But I don’t care, that is not the point. Making the first, and probably only hug, be like this is horrible.

Let people be upset about it without feeling guilty or stupid or irrational. Not everything is about rational analysis of scenes. Shipping is often about emotion. And after waiting so long for a hug, and being so disrespected by the show runners, we are allowed to be upset about this.

So, we’ve waited 6 years for a Swan queen hug.. and they somehow managed to make that to be about C$ too. Why am i not surprised… Like they don’t have any other reason to hug each other?? Their first hug just needed to be about the damn engagement. Sorry if i’m not leaping for joy.
