How can you not like them?

This art is seriously SO BEAUTIFUL. I could just stare and stare and stare and stare at it!!! Every time I see it I’m in awe!!! … With the signature of Madame President and her Swan it makes a powerful picture. … This is a really evocative image … I really really love the shades and shadowing of the leaves, the varying colors add some brightness to the picture while keeping with the soft coloring. I’m very intrigued with the Madam President idea … This is so so beautiful asdfghjkl! … I think the pictures you chose speak volumes. I can just feel the power and pressure that’s on Regina, and “her swan” is there for her every step of the way. … this is such a lovely piece!!!! … The background with ‚we the people‘ fits really well as well. … I love this so much. The grays and greens go so well together, it’s just so gorgeous to look at. … This is so eye-catching, and wonderful to look at … The way the green of the leaves stands out from the rest of the image is really cool, especially since it’s framing Emma and Regina so beautifully! … I really like the watercolour-like texture of the leaves … you have an eye that isn’t just technical, but artistic, too. … This is beautiful! I had to stop and stare for a long while. … It’s all so soft and the two of them looking so determined, I like the contrast. … This looks so simple but that makes it beautiful too since it doesn’t need anything else. … This is so beautiful!! Regina looks strong but concerned, like she’s taking her job seriously, and Emma looks focused and supportive, like she’s not going to let Regina’s doubts get the best of her. … “Madame President and Her Swan” definitely have won my heart. … All those details add up to one fabulous finished product. :)

It’s weird how when a young female celebrity wants to mature in the eyes of the audience, it’s always a sexual thing. They’re expected to go nude in a film or have more explicit lyrics in their music.

But maturity for male celebrities is about becoming deep and gritty. Actors take on some Oscar bait role and musicians make an introspective album.

I don’t like that. The pop culture lens values male celebrities based on intelligence or depth, while it values female celebrities based on how sexually available they’re presented for male consumption.

That extends for non-artistic situations as well, “becoming a woman” is either associated with menstruation or having sex (more common), while “becoming a man” is about having responsibilities, building character, taking action, being proactive about things.
