Penelope IS an introvert and she didn’t love Lord Debling.

Sure, some introverts would love the solitude Debling would have provided, but idk why so many people think all introverts would forego loving relationships for the sake of solitude.

We don’t like being around a lot of people, and we do value alone time, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want connection with other people or even that we want to be alone all the time.

Now Francesca and John? THAT’s a great match for an introvert. They clearly have a connection, love being around each other AND they’re able to give each other the solitude they need.

The only thing that really bothers me about this Michaela storyline is that it seems they’re going to use it to show that Francesca wasn’t truly in love with John… the way Violet said oh I thought love was forgetting your words and bold passion! Then she finally concluded that there are other ways to show love only for Fran to stumble over her words and have this sudden passion for Michaela? Like what was the point of my cute autistic coded couple then???

I honestly love how John took time at his wedding to acknowledge Violet.

Like do you know how hard it must of been to raise all those kids by herself in her grief.

Yes Anthony stepped up and had a hand in raising his siblings but Violet of course was the main one.

So John acknowledging that he sees her in every one of her children is something I'm sure she needed to hear.

I think we quickly realized that John and Francesca are quite odd, and different from the other people who have the sort of intense love moments. I think it’s quite nice to play something quite different and alternative. We’ve got to explore the different ways in which connections can be made without ripping each other’s clothes off. It was quite nice as an actor. It’s a great challenge to connect with another actor without actually saying words.

During those moments, I had this inner monologue that I would run every single take, of what I want to say, but not actually say it. It just made it even more exciting, because there’s so much more to say. There’s so many emotions I’m feeling, and I’m not stifling it. I’ve just realised that John and Francesca were standing directly across the room from Kate and Anthony during Colin’s speech and that’s just such perfect comedy to me.

Because, imagine you are John Stirling and you meet your betrothed’s big brother, who’s an important Viscount, the Lord Bridgerton and he intimidates the living shit out of you. In fact, you find him so scary that you mess up your words.

Then cut to exactly one scene later, and you’re standing across the room from that very same man, and this is your view the entire time: the scary, intimidating Viscount, wrapped around his wife, smiling like a goof and acting like a lovesick pile of mush

Imagine the whiplash, the shock, the surprise. I just know poor John was flabbergasted.
