Don't you think that the old man in the (the man music vedio) is karlie?? I think she is... On 2:49.. because the old man is not Taylor her smile is dfrnt and that scene also never shown in bts of vedio...

so back when the man mv came out a lot of people talked about this! im sure people will share their thoughts from the time in the comments.

i looked into it myself and while i think the guy has some features that are reminiscent of karlie, if you look at him from the side (for example the shot where they kiss), i get the impression there is very little room for prosthetics, which i think they would have need to use to alter the face shape. same goes with the actor’s hands. i don’t think it’s necessarily impossible, but i don’t think it’s likely.

although, karlie was definitely in LA around the time the man mv was filmed in LA so 🤷🏻‍♀️

like with taylor’s look, i immediately got the vibe that practical effects were being used to transform the face. something was ‘uncanny valley’ about it.

instead i ended up getting more obsessed with the idea that karlie’s hand pops up showing the engagement ring during this scene 🙈

mostly because it’s reminiscent of this scene from an episode of a lucille ball show where elizabeth taylor and richard burton guest star, where lucy gets liz’s cartier ring stuck on her hand and she has to attend a party hidden behind liz just showing her hand through liz’s clothes... and comedy ensues..

So... what are your general thoughts on "Levi"?

Honestly, I like the name and it blows my mind that Taylor sings „Levi‘s“ in cardigan and then 13 words later she sings „baby“. Do I think it means anything? I have no clue, but it sure would be a huge coincidence.

Other than that I don’t have many thoughts because it’s all too confusing.

The Leslie Jordan video reminded me of the photos we got of Harry with comedian Todd Glass years ago.

I remember seeing those photos of Harry with Todd and, I don’t really know how to explain it, but I felt a sense of familiarity and pride that he took the steps to connect with a member of his own community in that way. Todd came out later in life and, in listening again to his interview now, it’s interesting to hear how much he struggled with even just saying “I’m gay.” But it’s an important conversation so many of us have with ourselves before we tell anyone else who we are. And I know 100% Harry was aware of that interview before they met.

Knowing that Harry reached out to Leslie made me feel that same warmth knowing he does what he can to connect with his people, especially older men that can be a guide or source for him. And the way he reached out to Emma to confirm if he should do My Policeman touched my heart too.

The stunts are gross, they truly make me so sad sometimes because it just shouldn’t even be a thing he should have to consider to be successful. But when we get glimpses into the actual friendships he or Louis have made, and the intelligence and care they show towards LGBTQ+ matters, it brings some comfort that what actually means the most for them will be private. If we’re lucky enough to see or hear about it we should pay attention because those moments are the true reflections of who they really are.

WELL, I made myself emotional. 😂 Don’t know if that made any sense but thank you for allowing a space to talk about things like this. Leslie’s video is just so sweet and I can only imagine what advice he was able to impart that I’m sure Harry treasured.
