I want soft love. Fiery intense love is good, but I want the soft little moments that people don’t think about. I want the cuddles on the couch while reading or watching something you love with the person you love. I want to listen to them talk about an interest they have that I normally wouldn’t care about but they care so I do to. I want the dancing to a random song while we cook. I want the giggly moments with the sad because even in the bad times the love doesn’t change. I want the love that doesn’t shout. I want the love that’s quiet but consistent.

As a longtime fan of Kelsey, I went on a mini quest calling different Barnes & Noble and Target stores just to find this book and it was so worth it. I’m beyond proud of her and everything she’s accomplished with this debut!

It’s been a while since I picked up a fantasy, and this siren x pirate romance pulled me right back into the genre. The world was captivating, and I especially loved the dynamic between Nasir, Kiyami, and Celeste, their friendship brought so much heart to the story.

Celeste was easily my favorite. I really felt for her with everything she had to go through and she reminded me of myself a little which made her journey even more emotional. Raiden wasn’t my favorite, but that’s a personal taste thing. And don’t even get me started on the plot twist... jaw = dropped.

Overall, a strong debut and I’m genuinely excited to see what Kelsey writes next. She’s just getting started!!
