I’m just gonna say it. Some of the naturals’ fancasts I’ve seen are shit, especially with Lia, Dean and Michael, and none of you know ball.

i’m not gonna lie this is a hot take so im going anon (so the naturals fandom doesn’t kill me ). but like why’s there sm sloane angst and whump and focus on ao3? and sometimes the lack of fanfiction for the other characters for things that don’t apply to sloane but apply to them. like sometimes its not that developed and idk it falls flat but idm focusing on the deeper topics if justice is done to show them accurately ifykwim?

I may get hate for saying this because Sloane is a character that’s very protected by the fandom (rightfully so my girl went through a lot love her to death). BUT it’s a little true that in the topic of mental health there’s more of Sloane than anyone else, which is a little disappointing because I personally think they are all equally fucked up (you can disagree if you want), they all suffered a lot and yes we see it in the books but unfortunately it wasn’t all shown in the depth that readers may want.

And the other thing is also true, a lot of fanfics trying to focus on more delicate topics fall flat but the thing is, with those topic I feel like at least some writing is meant to be ooc because not everyone will understand the character. Just bc you’re a fan of the character does not mean you understand them.

At the end of the day, this is opinions based and no hate to any of the characters, love them all. They’re all my favorite group of mentally ill special teenagers. <3
