This may surprise some of you, but not all of us single folk feel alone this time of year.

Some of us view the holiday season as a great time to catch up with old friends, spark up new and exciting relationships, or, most importantly, spend time on ourselves. We may not need a SO to feel the joy and love the season brings. We may actually enjoy the peace of not running from house to house to please multiple families, or not feeling guilty for staying out too late enjoying the ‘festive cheer’ with friends at the bar.

So please, by all means, invite and include us in your plans. But do it because you actually want to spend time with us, and not just because you “don’t want us to be alone” or because you feel some misplaced pity.

Believe me, we’re doing ok.

since when is it ok to end any form of relationship via text?? i don’t care if y'all met on line, once you actually meet the person face to face, reverting to a text to say ‘thanks but no thanks’ is effing terrible. especially if it was an intimate connection, either physical or emotional. grow a pair and have the common decency to look someone in the eye.

I'm not a runner. And today I struggled. I couldn't find my rhythm. I couldn't sit comfortably in my stride no matter what I did. My lungs screamed for air. The pain in my side grew with every step.
