The shadow tensed slightly at the otherâs gaze. Maybe it was naive of him to approach his counterpart so freely. All Kage wanted was to get along with everyone. After a few moments, the other took his aid and he gave a nod. Kage walked to the closet to pull out a broom and a dustpan. âThey are so carefree sometimes.â he muttered. âThis place brings comfort, I think.â he replied as he began to sweep the floor. Â
â It makes them feel like they are normal humans again..or at least I think so.â he told. He didnât look up from his chore.Â
The corners of his mouth curled into something that could be interpreted as a smile, and a slight scoff escaped his lips. âCarefree, indeed.â He responded, putting away some of the clean plates. âSometimes it is hard to believe that they are supposed to be ancient heroes.â
He paused for a second. Feeling human again... it was something he was familiar with, after all, at times, he found himself actually enjoying the time here, seeing the others fool around, living a strangely ordinary life, despite their rather particular situation. It was ridiculous, after all their time here was limited, and in the end, they were but tools to achieve a certain goal, yet it was true, to say that he sometimes felt alive again, something he had missed for a very long time. And he supposed the other Emiya did feel something similar. âI suppose... I do not dislike it...â
