"So, anything you wanna get?"
"That is unfortunately very true… Anyway, we’re almost there, so I guess it’s time to start acting like mature individuals.”
That… That was going to be hard.
"Right... Maturity time." But Gauche wasn't here to counterbalance her bouncy nature. Droite would just have to try acting like Gauche!
"Okay, Zagi, let's get in there and do business!"

"So, anything you wanna get?"
"Wow. Alright, whatever. If you’re up all night bouncing off the walls because of all that sugar it ain’t gonna be my problem."
"Like I need sugar to do that! ♥" And like Gauche would let her. Wall-bouncing after a certain time usually led to pillows in the face.

"So, anything you wanna get?"
"Wait I said drink not an ice cream type thing…" He mumbled as he walked with Droite just so she wouldn’t wind up ripping his arm off.
"I'm getting tea, too, so it counts, right? You can just get me the whole thing! Besides, it'll be a drink if I turn it into a milkshake! ♪"

"Great! Now come on, I want my parfait!" She grabbed his arm and tried dragging him to the bar.

Briefly he wondered what the odds were that he could get away if he just turned around and started running right now. But that would blow his cover entirely, and if he intended to use this opportunity to flush out the remnants of the shadier guilds he couldn’t let that happen. Holding back a sigh, he reached down and pulled out Zagi’s weapons, hoping beyond hope that he could fake his fighting style well enough for Gauche not to get suspicious.
"All right, then. Let’s do this!"
She shifted her weapon to crossbow form and fired a few bolts in front of his feet before charging in at him. She never expected her first few blows to land, so she didn't dare hold back as she changed her weapon back and swung at him. He'd just block her, and then the game of leaping and dodging would begin...
Of course, if she wasn't dealing with the real Zagi, she might actually hurt him if he didn't move fast enough. But Zagi usually beat her when she fought alone, so she wasn't too worried.
"W-well, you know, they’re… Just not enough of a challenge!"
"You want to fight? Really? I—" Wait, I can’t very well say no to this if I’m pretending to be Zagi, can I? "—hope you don’t wind up disappointing me!"
Oh god, he was so dead.
"You don't normally have a problem with picking on them." Something was seriously wrong with Zagi. It didn't look like his heart was really into fighting. That never happened.
"Come at me, then! No artes, no holding back! I dare you to pin me down!" If he was upset, getting him riled up ought to help.
"Er, Gauche! Wh-where did you come from?"
"I-I mean, I’m just bored. It’s been ages since I’ve had a proper fight!"
"And you're not taking it out on some random red-eye? Odd."
"But if you're so keen on fighting, how about a friendly spar? I need to sharpen my own skills after so much office work."
"Why yes hello I am Zagi and you don’t want to mess with me. Someone please point me towards the nearest assassin’s guild."
"You mean your own? Any reason you're acting even weirder than usual, Zagi?"
[Gauche] "Little thing?"
Send “Little thing?” and my muse will tell you something as a child.
"If you get stabbed keep the knife in. It’ll keep you from bleeding to death. Likewise, if you stab someone, don’t leave the knife in."
"Well, aren't you a little assassin in the making..." Good to know he'd always been like this. And yet it was somehow endearing.
Zagi let the girl drag him through the big, dark manor and to the kitchen. The rain sounded a bit louder in that much smaller room, but that wasn’t an issue.
Right now, they needed to make something ridiculously big to eat. Droite was right, big sandwiches were just so overdone. There had to be something that- Zagi’s face lit up, and he bounced up and down as he wrote.
Ice cream Sundays. The biggest, most cavity inducing Sundays ever.
"Perfect!" She squealed a bit too loudly before catching herself. Her next words came in a hushed whisper. "I think we've still got a bunch of ice cream in the freezer! Go grab it, and I'll get some toppings!"
She turned back to the cupboards, now with a goal in mind. What was good on a sundae? Berries, chocolate sauce, crushed cookies, marshmallows... Oh, this was gonna be good.
Maybe. It’s kinda hard to find things that’ll be louder than the rain. He heaved a sigh. The one time he felt exhausted enough to fall asleep instantly and it was made difficult because of unfortunate weather circumstances.
Food sounds great. When doesn’t it, though? We should go make something ridiculously big.
"Maybe if we go deep enough in the manor the rain won't be as loud? But first, big food! ♥" Big like the hands of the guys in Gauche's hidden books... Not that she'd ever say that out loud. If Gauche was awake, she'd kill her for that!
She grabbed Zagi's hand and dragged him downstairs to the kitchen before stealthily rooting through the cupboards for ingredients.
"We've gotta make something quick, so nothing that has to be baked... But super-tall sandwiches are so overdone AND impractical! What do you wanna make, Zagi?"
Yeah yeah. I can’t sleep. The rain is too loud and uneven. It’s keeping me awake. He sighed before he jotted down another thing.
Why’re you still up? It’s gotta be way in the early hours of the morning.
"Uneven rain, huh? Can't say that's ever been a problem for me. It rained all the time where Gauche and I grew up! But maybe you can find something else that'll make a nicer sounding white noise?" She leaned on his shoulder affectionately.
"I'm just up 'cause I was hungry. I was gonna sneak down to the kitchen for a snack! Wanna come?"

Zagi could always talk to one of his adoptive sisters. Our of everyone he knew, they were the ones he could always trust the most.
Usually, he’d go to Gauche for such things because she was generally a better listener, but Droite was just as acceptable as anyone. Zagi didn’t have to look too far around the manor to find her.
Hey, Droite. Can we talk (well kinda talk)? I’ve been having trouble sleeping again. It’s raining, and, well…
"Yeah, of course we can talk! Or you write and I’ll read, and do all the talking. That works too. So, trouble sleeping ‘cause of the rain?" Droite sidled up next to Zagi so she could see what he was writing as he wrote.
Sure, Zagi could be a little weird at times, and Droite would always be closer to Gauche than to anyone else, but she could still try to help if something was bothering him!
