Nicole Atkins – “A Little Crazy”
I saw Nicole Atkins in concert last night. She was great! “A Little Crazy” was one of my favorites that she played.
Recommended if you like: old-school country/Patsy Cline/Cat Power/Roy Orbison

Mick Jagger and John Lennon – “Mick Jagger’s and John Lennon’s Introduction of The Dirty Mac” (1968)
“You’re blues, John. You’re blues John. You’re blues John.” – Mick
(Or is it “YER BLUES JOHN”?)
Those accents though.
Junior Byles – “Curly Locks” (1974)
Now that it’s pretty much summertime we’re gonna see lots of reggae on SWTCH.
"Curly Locks” is a super chill Junior Byles track produced by Lee Scratch Perry.

Chelsea Wolfe – “Simple Death” (demo, bonus track)
Cheslea Wolfe is playing in San Francisco tonight and tomorrow night (June 1 and 2) at The Chapel in the Mission. Check it out! If you go, make sure to don your blackest of clothing and leatheriest of leather.
I saw her perform last year at The Regency in SF. It was beautiful and gothy! My favorite show of 2015 for sure.
This here demo of “Simple Death” is much different than the album track, which is one of my all-time favorite Wolfe tracks. I dig this version too.

Ken Boothe – “Moving Away”
A sunshiney rocksteady reggae track from the soulful Ken Boothe.
I found this track on the Soul Jazz CD compilation Studio One Rocksteady: Rocksteady, Soul and Early Reggae At Studio One:

Perfume Genius – “No Good”
A Lennonesque track. . . One of the few tracks I really dig from the Perfume Genius album Too Bright (2014).
"Everyday I feel more and more like Swtchster."
- Swtchster.
“How I Dress Now: Ezra Koenig”
Written by Ezra Koenig, this awesome little essay discusses wristwatches, time, and death. Here’s the opening paragraph:
I got my first watch a few weeks ago. It's a Casio retrofitted with a three-color band: red, white, and black. People often mistake the black for blue and assume I'm repping the French tricolor on my wrist. Once they realize the actual color scheme, they think it's either Thom Browne or, very occasionally, the striped flag of Yemen. I go with Yemen because its flag is one of the few that references the concept of time: The red stands for the bloodshed of martyrs, the white for a bright future, and the black for the dark past. Past and future in a flag — perfect for a watchband, no?

NAO – “Fool To Love” (official video)
New video for the indisputable banger “Fool To Love.” The video reminds me of Fight Club:
Disclosure – “What’s in Your Head” (2012)
One of my favorite Disclosure tracks. It’s an early track, pre-Settle; The Face EP to be precise. (PS will Disclosure recover after that last album?)
I can’t find this track one on Spotify. You could find it on the deluxe version of Settle though, which is where I found it.
