I couldn’t quite tell how old he was. It was one of those things where he’s borderline, so he could have either just graduated or maybe in his senior year. Hard to tell.

*laughs* The Doodle People. Apparently that’s what they call themselves, Shadowhunters. Weird, right?

You didn't happen to get his full name, did you? He'd be easier for me to search that way. *bites lip in thought* I'll keep my eye out for him at school in the meantime.

*sighs heavily* Okay, I'll bite. What on earth are shadowhunters? It sounds like a cult or something. Like the Warriors of Light...oh God, they're not vampire hunters are they?

Alright, if you think that she needs help. We need to make sure she doesn’t do anything bad though. Having Strigoi in anyone is dangerous, even if she isn’t fully Strigoi, however that works. Simon didn’t seem much like a threat except for the fact that apparently he’s being hunted by all of the vampires he knows, which isn’t good. I’m not even supposed to be telling you about him, but I figured if anyone knows about Daylighters it would be you. So, just be careful when asking around with the Alchemists. We don’t want a horde of strange vampires we don’t know how to fight showing up at our doorstep. He was kind of geeky, in an involved sort of way. Like he used to be gangly and awkward but now has grace he isn’t used to. I gave him my number, but it sounds like he’s friends with the Shadowhunter people. It wouldn’t be too hard to track him down. But like I said, we need to tread cautiously.

Yeah, Lissa, Dimitri, and I -unfortunately- are on babysitting duty until further notice, to make sure she stays in line. *frowns* This Daylighter thing is throwing me for a loop. I've never heard that word before now. I'd like to speak with this Simon, though. *smirks* Maybe I can appeal to his geeky side. How old is he? I wonder if he goes to our school...

*raises eyebrows* Shadowhunter people? Who are they? I'm not even sure I want to know at this point.This place is like the Twilight Zone.

Adrian had already begun to somewhat doze off.

The patterns she was drawing against his bare skin was almost like a lullaby; her warmth a comforting presence in the dark. “Mmm. Me too.” It took a great amount of effort for him to move and kiss the top of her head, falling back against his pillow immediately afterwards. His eyes stayed shut, and his breathing began to slow. Sleep took over before long.

Sydney felt her muscles start to relax and her surroundings grow hazier as sleep crept over her. She was vaguely aware of Adrian's lips against her forehead for a moment, making her smile even in her exhausted state. There was something exceedingly comforting about the fact that Adrian would be here next to her while she slept, and that he'd be the first thing she woke up to. She stopped tracing his skin and moved her hand to rest on his hip, snuggling close to him as she drifted off, warm and happy in his embrace.

Adrian used one arm to lie his head on, the other wrapped around her waist. 

His green eyes flashed in the darkness at her words, and he moved forward and kissed her lips delicately. “I love kissing you too,” he whispered, grinning. “And touching you.” He slid his hand up and down her back slowly. “And being with you.” His lips moved across her jaw, and then back to her lips.  After a moment, he pulled back and laid on his back, pulling her head atop his chest. “I wouldn’t push you into something you’re not ready for,” he said. “I just loose myself sometimes.”

She shivered as his hand slid up her back, his touch was like a drug that she was rapidly becoming addicted to. It was slightly disconcerting. She'd never needed anyone like this before. You'll just have to leave him eventually, she reminded herself. Don't get too attached. For the first time in her life Sydney realized she was in danger of getting her heart broken. But she didn't want to think about that now, she wanted to enjoy this moment. She'd start thinking again tomorrow. She banished all her negative thoughts away and let herself relax against Adrian's chest.

"I know that." Sydney whispered, closing her eyes in contentment. ""I trust you." She listened to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat and smiled, drawing abstract patterns with her fingertip on his skin. "I'm sleepy."

Adrian paused his movements, looking down at her with his breath panting. He bit his lip, a blush coloring his cheeks. They had done so much in one night; he’d probably pushed her far enough. 

Guilt began to gnaw at him. He should have stopped or at least slowed down a while back. “I’m sorry,” he said and lightly pecked her lips. “I shouldn’t - You’re right, we should stop.”

"Don't apologize," Sydney murmured, wriggling out from underneath him. She moved so they were side by side, wrapping her arms around him. One hand reached up to stroke his face as she kissed him softly.

"I wanted to do all that. I love-" she stopped abruptly, realizing almost too late what she was saying. "-kissing you." she finished, blushing at her slip up in word choice. "and touching you, and being with you." she kissed him again, snuggling close. "I'm still not ready to do much more than that, but even if we went too far, I wouldn't regret it. Not if it was with you."

They were getting on dangerous ground. 

Adrian knew he should be stopping; slowing down and letting her be in control, just in case he did something wrong. But the way she moved underneath him only urged him on; his lips moving feverishly against hers and his knee moving up to press up between her legs.  His teeth tugged lightly on her ear, his breath heavy.

Sydney had never been properly under the influence of any mind-altering substances, but she supposed it felt something close to this. She couldn't think about anything but how good everything right now felt. Her entire body felt warm, especially the spot where Adrian's knee was pressing. That snapped her back into reality for a moment. Her eyelids fluttered open, trying to stay that way as he nibbled on her ear. She should tell him to stop now. They'd gone far enough for one night. Probably too far. But she wanted him, she couldn't remember ever wanting something this much. "I don't want to stop," she whispered miserably, "I know we should, but I don't want to." she looked up at him, waiting to gauge his reaction.

Ow! Well I hope you’re okay, and next time call me if anything happens. As much as I know you’re a badass now, the more badasses present the better. *smiles*

I just don’t understand how none of us had any clue about any of these vampires. I guess it could be similar to the rarities of the Shadowkissed, but there were still other people that knew about them. Maybe I’ll make some calls. The whole thing is just disconcerting. What exactly is First? How can you be Strigoi but not?

I'm trying to piece that together, myself. I have to question the Alchemists about First and this alleged alchemist who turned her into...whatever she is. *pauses* It's hard to explain. You'd have to see her to believe it. She looked like a Strigoi when she attacked me, but once she calmed down...she could have passed for a Moroi. *shakes head* It's too freaky. But she doesn't seem...evil? I think she really does need our help. What I'm really interested in now is this Simon character you mentioned. What did he look like? Do you know where we might be able to find him again? If he's linked to First in any way or has any information on what she is or how she got that way, we need to know.

Adrian chuckled against her lips and let himself press against her more, moving his hands from the pillows and running them down her waist, over her legs, one of them sliding up the inside of her shirt, over her panties to her bare stomach. 

He continued kissing her, going from her neck, to her collarbones and back to her lips over and over again, moaning each time their tongues touched. He worried he was going to fast again, but the way Sage withered impatiently  underneath him made him think differently.

"It's not funny!" Sydney grumbled as Adrian pressed closer to her, "You're driving me crazy. I think you might be doing it on purp-" her words were cut short when she felt one of his hands slide inside the shirt, grazing briefly against the material of her underwear, to rest on her bare stomach. She sucked in her breath, her eyelids fluttering. The feeling was dizzying, and then he was kissing her neck again and she was overcome with sensation. She wasn't able to control her body as it arched up against his, nor was she able to control the sounds that escaped her mouth when his lips weren't moving against hers. She would have been embarrassed by her reactions if she weren't so caught up in him. When his mouth met hers again she let her hands travel up his bare arms and down his chest, losing herself in the kiss completely.

“I don’t want to squish you,” he said lightly, chuckling a little as he licked his damp lips. Slowly, he sunk down closer to her, letting his bare chest rest against her and pressing his lips to the hallow of her neck. His teeth dragged against her skin as he moved from her throat back to her lips, moving his leg up between her legs. 

He could feel her underneath him; restless, aching to be touched, and it set him on edge. His lips moved hungrily against hers.

Sydney smiled as he lowered closer to her, their chests touching. Her eyes rolled back slightly as he kissed from her neck back to her mouth. His leg moved up between her hers again, causing his shirt to bunch up around her thighs. She wanted to pull it down again but instead locked her arms around Adrian's neck, returning his kiss. There was no voice in the back of her head urging her to stop, which was probably more alarming than the voice itself, but Sydney didn't care. They were alone together in the dark where no one could see them, she wouldn't get many chances to be with him like this in the future and she was going to make the most of it.

She ran her hands up and down his back. His hands were still not where she needed them to be. "Adrian," she said, her voice slightly whiny. She didn't know how to finish that sentence, so she just shifted her body against his again in that agitated manner, hoping he'd understand.

Adrian moaned, unable to help himself. The sensation of her lips over his body was almost enough to drive him off the edge. No girl had ever had this effect on him. His skin was burning, aching for her touch, and his lips captured hers with a passionate force, tongue sliding in and tangling with hers. 

He moved a little so he was on top of her, arms straining against his weight as he kept himself somewhat suspended in order to avoid crushing her. One of his legs was between her legs and as he kissed her he moved it up slightly.

Sydney's heart flurried as Adrian moved on top of her, kissing her hard, moving his leg in between hers. She could hardly breathe, but pulling away was the last thing she wanted to do. She panted against his lips instead, their breaths mingling. She shifted restlessly underneath him. It was like her skin was itching to be touched. Yet his hands were on the bed, holding himself up as they kissed. She wondered why he was holding back. Was it just her who felt like she was going to burst out of her skin if they didn't start touching soon? She broke away from his mouth, finally, taking in deep gulps of air. She smiled up at him, resting a hand on his shoulder. "Why are you so far away?" she pouted.

First? No. What happened? Was everyone okay? Was Lissa okay? Did this happen the week I was gone? God I hate the Moroi Court and politics.

Simon was…odd. At first it seemed like he was trying to be a vigilante, protecting an “innocent” girl from the shadows of the night. But then when I provoked him he almost bit me. We eventually talked things out, but he seemed very moody.

Lissa's fine, everyone's fine. *smirks* I was actually the one who took the brunt of her "mood swings". She pinned me up against a wall on sight. She claims an alchemist turned her into what she is. Or, well, someone who at least had a golden lily tattoo.

*sighs* I don't really know what to make of all this. Do you think this Simon guy might be linked to her? How could there be all these different types of vampires and we never realized? The alchemists certainly should have records of this kind of thing. Unless...*scowls deeply* they're keeping things from me. Again. Ugh, sorry. Rant over.

No he definitely wasn’t Moroi. He said.. *hushes to whisper* he said he died. *returns to normal voice* But that can’t be possible, can it? Because there is noway he was Strigoi. And he said he wasn’t Shadowkissed…His name is Simon…Do the Alchemists have some kind of records place? Maybe if someone similar had been documented before?

I "met" her outside of Lissa's apartment. I don't know how to describe her. The only thing for certain about her is she's one hell of a loose cannon. Was that how this Simon guy was? All skittish and ready to attack at any moment?

Well things just normally get tense when I try to grill people. There was this weird Doodle Boy, things got kind of heated, but he turned out alright. What I’m really concerned about is this other guy who had fangs. But he wasn’t Strigoi or Moroi. Say, you don’t know what a Daylighter is per chance?

A Meeting of Blood || First, Kaylee, Lissa, Dimitri, Sydney

Lissa still had no idea what had really happened, she decided it wasn’t her place. Kaylee had just left and Lissa knew she wasn’t coming back. If she were, then she wouldn’t bother telling her to, basically, take her job. Taking another long sip of water, Lissa put her glass back down and looked over to first. 

“Yes and no,” she grimaced. “We can’t have you attacking anyone or revealing yourself, but I also don’t think you should break into hospitals and steal their blood.” The thought rubbed Lissa the wrong way. “I don’t think being coped up anywhere will help, it will only drive you mad. I think we need to figure something out. To get you blood and make sure that no one discovers what you are.”

Especially since there are demon hunters around now.

Dimitri knew they had to help First. Vasilisa had made a rule that First wasn’t allowed to feed off of people or steal blood from the hospital. Dimitri knew that would never work. The Strigoi inside her would go crazy without blood, and would probably become more violent to get some. But where to get blood was something they would have to figure out soon.

Vasilisa was right, locking First up wouldn’t do anything but harm, not to mention she was stong enough to break out of wherever they would put her. Dimitri knew the best thing was for First to be with one of them at all times, for various reasons.

“I believe one of us should always be with First.” It was the first time Dimitri offered something to help First. “That way we can make sure she doesn’t kill or steal for blood, and we can make sure no one finds out what she is.” Dimitri thought it was a great idea. He looked at Vasilisa for confirmation.

"How are we going to get the blood?" Sydney asked, biting her lip uncertainly. She looked between Lissa and Dimitri. When Dimitri spoke a lump started to form in Sydney's throat. She swallowed it down, attempting to choose her words carefully. "Um, does 'one of us' include me as well?" Babysitting First wasn't at the top of her list of things she'd like to be doing. "I would gladly help but...well...I don't think she trusts me very much. Plus, I'm already kind of busy with school and Jill and..." she cleared her throat, thinking she might as well get this out of the way, "I also recently started helping Adrian with some, uh, research about spirit. You know how the bond's been affecting Jill and all that, we're trying out some techniques to dull the negative effects without Adrian consuming copious amounts of alcohol." She shrugged, hoping she sounded nonchalant. "But I can watch out for her as much as I can, if you really need me to."
