the alchemist plotline is wrapped up nicely and sydney gets to take down that nasty cult the way she deserved to in a way that isn’t rushed in like 50 pages tops

richelle doesn’t pretend that sydney never spent like two months being tortured in a dark hole and two extra months going through conversion therapy and let her actually experience the ptsd any person would have after going through hell like that

sydney gets the epilogue pov of HER series

adrian and dimitri aren’t cousins for no damn reason

sydney giving adrian her cross necklace (the only thing that was truly hers and not connected to the alchemists her abusers) to cheer him up after he told her about how bad his depression was because of spirit

adrian sitting in the middle of the sun for an extended period of time as a whole ass vampire - almost dying - just to see sydney shine and be truly happy 

sydney drinking a slush full of sugar with adrian when she was terrified of sugar and hadn’t had it for years to cheer him up after witnessing his father verbally abusing him (and also lying about it being sugar free so he wouldn’t worry)

adrian paying more attention to sydney and her being in a bad situation than the people that actually knew her before he had even spoken to her in the end of last sacrifice
