WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER WHEN YOU ARE IN A BAD MOOD?

i’ve got a few things i do to make me feel better when i’m in a crappy mood. first off, i have a few special objects that i like to hold to calm myself down. this usually helps ground myself and bring me to earth rather than in the moment. drawing also helps; especially if my drawing comes out well. tea and a snack is a lifesaver too :)

My first submitted work. Since my obsession with ballet is longstanding, expect more ballet imagery. This piece was inspired by a character I designed and rped once under the fc of the lovely Freya Mavor. This would also be my first watercolored piece. Enjoy? xx

Marie Taglioni (April 23, 1804 - April 24, 1884)

Marie Taglioni was an Italian/Swedish ballet dancer of the Romantic ballet era. Her choreographer and father Filippo Taglioni created the ballet La Sylphide for her and was the first ballet show en pointe. Back then, papier-mâché was yet to be discovered, making pointe shoes soft and hard to balance on. This made Taglioni the pioneer of the pointe shoe.

Taglioni was also known for shortening her skirt in the performance La Sylphide, which was considered highly scandalous at the time. She shortened all of her skirts to show off her excellent pointe work, which the long skirts hid. Her father was approving of the shortening of the skirt because he also wanted everyone to see how good his daughter was en pointe.
