When it comes to Louie; everyone questions why anyone, especially Alph, would even consider dating him.

Alph went into the relationship fully aware of what he was getting into(because fuck anyone who infantilizes him) and he isn’t completely clueless when it comes to romantic relationships(although he isn’t as experienced as Brittany or dare I say Charlie, who I hc to be a serial dater after the fallout of his relationship with Dobbs, he’s been trying to get his shit together for Brittany but we all know how much success he has with that).

Alph dated a guy before the events of Pikmin 3, and the guy was so fucking shitty that he makes Louie look like a saint. Long story short, Alph’s previous ex was a tech bro; and I will die on this hill and say that Alph(and the rest of his family) absolutely hates tech bros and views them as frauds, so obviously the relationship didn’t last long and Alph broke up with him primarily because the guy lied about being a tech bro and led Alph on thinking he was a legitimate engineer, when in reality he was using Alph for family connections.

Outside of the relationship drama Alph has, he and Yorke frequently tell off tech/ai/nft/crypto bros who try to get close to them. Most of the time, they go to Yorke first because he’s the oldest sibling; and Yorke straight up tells them to fuck off. They either give up there or go to Alph next(which is the much more likely scenario) whom they assume would be more friendly and/or more easy to manipulate, but Alph is very aware of how they see him and see right through their bullshit; Alph would go “Do you really take me as someone with no self respect? Stop talking talking to me”, he knows they most likely went to him because Yorke rejected them, and it pisses him off that they’d assume he would go any easier on them(he won’t).
