Hell’smouth Altarpiece, Bernat Despuig, 1433
Your WoL finds a romance novel written about them. Who are they paired with and how do they react?
Any romance novel with Aubin is highly questionable and probably reads like Wuthering Heights, where there's a good dose of horror surrounding him and his relationship with the person in question.
He's probably paired with someone like..... Actually, I went into this not knowing. All options are probably equally good/bad because they'd have to take Aubin out of character. (He's known to be friendly with the scions but still remains largely an enigma to them. It's his son who is the pleasant one)
By the end of Endwalker, it's clear that there are many who respect and even revere the WoL, but is your WoL actually likable? Do they have many friends?
Alas, no, Aubin is a stick in the mud that most people have described as "someone they try to be okay with."
It really takes a certain kind of character/writer to put up with him for long, as he tends to put up a "professional" front first and foremost and then discover that he has All Sorts Of Issues when they gain his trust.
He tends towards the mopey and melancholic in his off time. He's the serious sort. He's got an unethical interest in injuries. He's demanding and tyrannical in his practice.
He doesn't have many friends at all.

What are some of the biggest changes that you made to your wol(oc) since first making them in ffxiv?
Aubin used to be a lot younger.
When I made him, he was the younger, serious and stern brother to my best friend's character, Sabin. But over time my friend and I decided he would actually be better suited to being Sabin's father. It was true, that ended up being a MUCH better fit for that kind of dour, gloomy personality, especially because Sabin is such a free spirit.

Ah, the Sylvain Brothers again
They've been reworked-- they're no longer brothers, but father and son.

how would you describe your wol(oc)'s butt?
Concave, ngl. If there was an anti-butt that would end humanity by coming in contact with any real butt, Aubin Sylvain's lack of ass would end all life on Eorzea as we know it, ushering in the ultimate calamity among calamities to rejoin the shards.
To lay back to back with Aubin would be all that Emet-Selch ever needed to succeed, but unfortunately, Aubin and Emet fucking hate each other to such an extreme that it loops back around to sexual tension.
I can forgive murder and cannibalism, but I draw the line at medical malpractice
