Rolling Stone photographs depicting Patty Hearst as Andrew Wyeth’s painting, “Christina’s World.”
Wendy Masako Yoshimura (born January 17, 1943) is an American still life watercolor painter better known for her involvement with the Symbionese Liberation Army. She was born in a World War II-era California internment camp, and raised in Japan and the Central Valley. She encountered and became involved in radical politics during her last year of art college as a result of meeting Willie Brandt, founder of the Revolutionary Army in Berkeley, California.

“Welcome to the Jungle”
The “Simian Liberation Army” is taken from “Symbionese Liberation Army”, the American left-wing terrorist group active from 1973-1975 and most notorious for kidnapping and brainwashing newspaper heiress Patty Hearst. In its actions it’s a swipe at the Animal Liberation Front and other radical animal rights groups which "liberate" laboratory animals.
Some photos taken today of the actual sites where all the Patty Hearst action went down in 1970s San Francisco. (except for the last one, which is “Tania” robbing the former bank in picture #2).
625 Morse Street = the Symbionese Liberation Army safe house where she was arrested in 1975.
The NEMS site is the former Hibernia bank she helped rob as “Tania”.
288 Precita = the SLA safe house of Bill & Emily Harris, where they were arrested.

Patty Hearst back in the news with early win at Westminster
NEW YORK (AP) — Famed and infamous heiress Patty Hearst was back in the news Monday after a dog she co-owns won its group at the Westminster Kennel Club show. http://dlvr.it/8bxwm0

oh my GOD
From the massacre in Munich to Americans held hostage in Iran, the '70s gave rise to modern-day terrorism.
The SLA had a little blurb on CNN’s “The Seventies,” which aired last night.
