Hey, it's late and I love Kid, so I'm sharing a headcannon I have about him: Kid is an insomniac. He struggles to sleep at night. Sometimes, he will get hit with a wave of exhaustion after sleepless nights catch up to him, and he will fall asleep in random places. (I.e. his desk, the kitchen table, in the bathtub, in the Academy's library, etc).

Hello, hello, everyone! I have returned!
Here are some life updates!
-No longer with my fiancé
-Lost one of my best friends of 11 years because we tried to date. Bad idea.
-Finally work at a college. Not as a professor, though
-Fell in love for the first time in my life (with an actual human being)
-Got my MFA with a Poetry focus
-Got diagnosed with ADHD and endometriosis
-SA by someone very close to me
-Had to euthanize one of my cats :(
-Am currently crushing on someone that is just a living version of Death the Kid
Anyway, I'm 26 almost 27, and I still love Soul Eater. I don't think that is ever going to change. Working on a new fanfiction and getting back in touch with art. My OCs have also been revamped. Things have changed lol

"liz and patty do the cooking-" liz and patty had sleep and nicotine for dinner. KID was up at 5 AM making breakfast burritos and getting the crockpot set up to run while they're at school
someone who gets it like.....they will cook on the rare occasion what he made sucks ass. otherwise homegirls are rolling out of bed at 7:57 for an 8 AM school day and kid is handing them ready made lattes that have all the foam scraped off because he tried to do latte art and it wasn't symmetrical and he nearly smashed the travel mug. when lunchtime comes they go to the school caf and say put it on his tab. when they get home kid rolls his sleeves up and starts chopping because mf made a promise to them and he will be DAMNED if a shinigami renages on their deals
liz does take over and cut the onion because the fact that every piece wasn't universally symmetrical was driving kid up a wall and making it take forever. patty put sprinkles on hers. that's about the extent of their involvement here

Their dynamic is one of the most underrated things in soul eater im so obsessed with it… “two girls who used to run the streets in Brooklyn and were infamous muggers” + “guy who literally has a nervous breakdown at least once a day” and they’re siblings… “this is the most special guy ever and if you don’t clap and cheer for him we’ll fucking kill you” vs “these are my emotional support guns” do not separate them.
Tsubaki got so disrespected by soul eater fans like yes she is the mom friend but that is borne of her deliberately making herself as accommodating and small and passive as possible because of her insane brother… she is trained in martial arts, uniquely has several weapon forms including one that literally drains the user, has a fun little list of what it takes to be an assassin, was the first character in the story to take down a high level threat, scores high in her class, and is the only person not only able to handle blackstar as a meister but also is insane enough to actively encourage him. I will not accept the “Tsubaki is just a nice polite girl” slander you all just refuse to actually evaluate the character. She is so much more.
I just think that Kid will be the grumpiest being alive at mornings.
He wakes up at 6 am because it's the "correct position of the clock hands" and wants to be ready at 8am to "start the day at the right time" but he hates it. He's tired and cold and he just wants to get back to his cozy bed but he forces himself to be absolutely ready and at the Death Room at 8 O'clock.
During weekends he usually ends up sleeping past noon.
